EPC has a solid core of Engineers to support a customer’s project(s) from the sketch on a napkin to its arrival on your dock and beyond. EPC’s design engineering staff, using our 3D CAD and other analysis software packages, can take your concepts from early stages of design to helping out in the final details and assist in developing a cost-effective, creative design that meets the customer’s requirements.

Our Project Engineers are the focal point for all of EPC's Engineering Team. The Project Engineer will take your design and follow it from the tool build through the first samples into its production phase. Our Process Engineers are the leaders on the floor. Once the mold reaches the floor the Process Engineer will ensure the parts that come out of the mold are processed in the most efficient manner.

EPC’s Design Engineers have a proven track record of working with customers at any and all developmental phases and can put that experience to work to assist you in producing a quality design. We have the capability to review your design and apply our knowledge of all our





molding processes and materials to help determine the best process materials for your requirements.

Our base CAD software package is PRO/E ® which we use to review and develop a 3D model. Our hardware utilizes high-end IBM® workstations. We have PRO/E Mechanica ® to run FEAs and Mold Flow ® to analyze mold filling. We have worked with prototype build houses to develop plastic prototypes that closely simulate that molded part. We have performed testing on both prototypes and molded parts to determine if designs meet customer requirements. We also have experience in developing assemblies, including the design of metal sub-components as required. Please contact our design department for a review of your latest design.
