This switch can switch your DC power supply from a primary to a backup battery, or shut off the power completely. My main concern with it is the enclosure that supports it: it is made from thin, rather brittle plastic. It could easily crack if it was subjected to modest impacts or severe cold. Also, when the one or more of the knockouts are removed to install the battery cable, the enclosure is no longer sealed and could allow moisture to reach the terminal posts inside.

Installed in solar system 24V and run 60 amps continuous, 100 amps surge - no concerns.These are not water proof model.

Good construct and design. Big. Smooth turning. The mounting could be easier. The nuts on the back that the front bolts go into should be built into the back plate. Unless you can access the back at the same time as the front you'll have to be inventive. I tossed the included bolts and attached it with wood screws.
