Marks are clear and ruler is sturdy although a little thinner than the last ones I ordered. They are well worth the price.

Excellent rulers, magnetic stainless. Twelve inch. Price at $1 each was very, very good. Flex is just right. Fairly stiff. Accuracy check with a good caliper was perfect at 6" and 140mm. Labelled as hardened SS. Gradations to 1/32" & 1mm IN SOME AREAS of the ruler but very good. All numbering & lettering on both sides is etched & blackened with paint. CONSIDERABLY better than the competition rulers even at 5-10x the cost. The zero end is actually "zero" for both scales which BOTH start on the left end -USEFUL. There is NO unmarked zero area to have to deal with when measuring. VERY DESIRABLE. Conversion tables on the reverse for 1" to12" in MM and fraction to decimals for 8ths, 16ths, and 64ths up to an inch plus a few others. The edges of the ruler are nicely ground/cut not sharp. Far end is rounded with a quarter inch hole and one inch blank area. Thickness of ruler measured at 0.71mm. OVERALL A VERY SUPERIOR RULER. Each comes in a thin 13" plastic orange & clear slipcase.
