I got the Carlinkit 2-air to replace their last gen 4.0 wired to wireless apple carplay dongle. This one is faster but you have to make sure bluetooth and wi-fi are enabled on your phone. Responsivenes and latency is much better compared to the Carlinkit 4.0--it's almost night and day. So far I havent experienced disconnections like the 4.0. The only con I find is that the wifi password for the device is not on the manual and updating the firmware is a little tedious if you are not tech savvy. But so far I love this little device.

great device with a discrete form factor. it does a solid job of solving for having to take your mobile out of your pocket and connect it every time you want drive someplace. boot up & connection time is good, does not drain my mobile’s battery and it consistently works well. only reason for not giving 5 stars is there are a few UX features missing from the latest CarPlay like support for driver console display but overall solves my biggest pain points and would buy again.

It's working with both iPhone and Android who get in first, but little inconvenience to switch between 2 phone. Very few lag on music you could notice.

Bought this device for my 2023 Kia Sportage and it works well. I did experience some occasional connection interruptions where the device became unresponsive and crashed Apple car play, but I’ve noticed this issue has decreased in frequency with a software update. Small lag when changing media. But overall great device and increases the convenience of Apple car play without needing to plug in my phone.

I bought this product basically for my husband as he's used to wireless connection with the car. However, whenever he sits in the car he complaints about this because it took a good 3 to 5 minutes to connect. Not only this, if he drives the car before the connection, it never connects. It really sucks and I'm tired of hearing complaints from him as I was the one who ordered this useless product after reviewing so many reviews. He is a apple user and there's only one device linked to this product but it still didn't work without me hearing complaints about it.

I tested with a Kia Sorento 2023 and Iphone pro 1445min route- Music lagged 3 times- Disconnected once, reconnected after my wife unlocked my phonereturn:- Music lagged 2 times- Disconnected, didn't reconnect this time even unlocking the iPhoneThe tape included in the package is garbage, I used another one. Unfortunately it was useless because I used the device for a single day. (Test it before wasting your time)I'm returning this item due it's terrible quality.If face these kind of issues, it's way easier to connect the cable and have reliable features
