Radio died in my daughters car so I grabbed this android unit with the car-specific plastic shroud. It looks fantastic in the car and adds a lot of modern features that the older car had been lacking. Namely a backup camera, Bluetooth, apple car play / android auto (have only used BT so far though). GPS, USB. Video quality is very nice too. And steering wheel controls all work too! Brightness dims automatically when headlights are turned on. Installation was very easy too.The only cons would be the instructions are mostly very straight forward, but there were a few undocumented wires that ultimately were not used, but I had no idea what they were for and had to wonder about them for a while. At first the sound was defaulting to really loud every time I turned on the car (even if it was low when turning off the car). I finally figured out how to correct that, but it was not straight forward or easy to find (you have to slide the min and max boot master volume both to low levels, like min2 and max3, yo can't just lower one of those values, must do both). That is burined withi two levels of menu options (car settings - sound... or maybe it was factory settings, I don't recall now)) Also, this unit takes about one full minute before it is useable when the car turns on. Every time. Perhaps the higher end model with double the ram would boot faster, I'm not sure. I bought the lower end one for this older car. Once it's running, it's fast to respond to all button presses and inputs. The screen is very responsive to all touches, including the volume up/down.Overall, very happy, just wish it started up quicker. But for the value and features you get, and the quality too, I can't complain at all really. 8/10 stars for me. If it stared quicker it would be 10/10. It's also very customizable.UPDATE: While it takes a minute before you can interact with it while it boots up (it just shows a blank screen or says ANDROID), no sound etc. But, even while it's starting I found out the backup camera WILL WORK right away if you back up while this thing is still booting. So that's a huge bonus.
