I attempted to replace this but stopped when I realized that I wouldn't be able to reuse the factory backup camera. I did know that the kit came with a camera, but did not realize that the old one would be incompatible.Camera: I will either need to mount the new camera in the back and cut into the old wires for power? Then I'd need to run the new cable along the frame to the front. Second option would be to buy a retention kit with a step down to drop the power from 12 to 6V.Steering Wheel Control: no CANBUS in this head unit so looks like it will need an adaptor kit with a controller. I'm not an auto mech but I I am an E/I tech and I read up on it. Canbus relays alarm codes across the system. The instructions are a bit confusing. I wasn’t able to find a phone number for customer support. It took some googling to find what I think I'd need figured out.UPDATE: After posting this Rimoody emailed me (through Amazon) with how to contact product support rimoodysupport@163.com.Even though my 2016 RAV4 is listed as compatible and the old head unit in their pictures implied that it was. Apparently it wasn’t compatible with the harness originally provided. They are sending me the right ones..with the canbus decoder I think.I really hope it works! Stay tuned for install pictures! lol

Upgrading to this has been a nice change for my RAV4. The touchscreen is pretty easy to navigate, and wireless Carplay is great for using apps without dealing with cords all the time. The GPS is helpful, especially with offline maps, and having access to Spotify and other apps on the screen right in front of me is very convenient. The install wasn’t exactly plug-and-play. I had to hunt down some extra parts to get the steering wheel controls working, and setting up the new backup camera was a bit of a project since the original one didn’t fit. The instructions could’ve been more helpful, but after some Googling, I got it all sorted. It took a few tries, but now I’m enjoying having my go-to apps just a tap away while driving. Now that everything’s up and running, it’s definitely an improvement over the stock setup. It brings a lot of features that make driving a bit more enjoyable, and the split-screen feature has been pretty handy. I’d say go for it if you’re looking to upgrade, but be ready to do a little extra work getting everything set up.
