It completely transformed the driving experience. This isn’t just a head unit, it’s like giving your truck a tech upgrade straight from the future. No more fumbling with cables. Seamlessly connects to my phone for maps, music, and calls without a hitch. The EQ settings let me fine-tune the audio, and paired with my upgraded speakers, it sounds way better than stock. The included camera provides a clear, wide-angle view, making parking and reversing much easier. The big display is crisp and responsive, making it easy to use on the go.

I installed this headunit in a 2009 Tacoma. The display itself is very nice and the bluetooth works great however there are a couple draw backs to the unit that you should be aware of which will be listed below.Let's start with the positives shall we, first off the unit is a great way to bring your dated Tacoma into the modern area. The display is large, vivid and had a very nice resolution with many themes to customize the display to match the vibe of your truck. We settled on a red theme to match the stock red lighting inside the Tacoma.Secondly install was pretty easy, i had never worked on the stereo in a 2nd gen Tacoma however with the help of a couple quick guides on YouTube I was able to remove the stock deck easily and quickly swap this unit in. As for function of the unit it starts out a little slow but once all the apps are awake and up to date it becomes responsive and snaps through apps without issue. So far I'm happy with the overall experience of this headunit. Now the things that I have found that keeps this from being a perfect upgrade.First off the instruction for installation are pretty bad, I've installed many other head units like this but the included install info for this one was very basic and could definitely be more detailed for the unfamiliar, that is why I looked to YouTube for some guidance.Next the plug and play wiring, most of the plugs worked with the 2009 Tacoma I installed the head unit in however the steering wheel controls plug is different then the included plug on thier harness so I can no longer use the steering wheel controls unless they have a harness that can convert the trucks plug to work with thier plug. Another issue I had was the fact the bezel housing did not fit as tight to the dash as the factory head unit did since it's not bolted in it is merely held in place via tabs and because of this there was some rattle while driving so I installed some 3m foam tape along the top of the head unit to hold the unit snug and eliminate the rattle, but if you don't have this on hand you may be annoyed at the rattle this unit can make driving on rough or uneven roads.Third and the most important issue I need to let people know about is I have been unable to get Android Auto to work via wireless or being plugged in via usb cable. This is not a huge issue for me as I use this truck on the farm so just having bluetooth and all that stuff work is fine but if you are buying this for the Android Auto or Apple Careplay I would consider that there do still seem to be some bugs in this units software. I have tried updating the app, the firmware and all other softwares and even did a factory reset to see if that would help but nothing seems to be working at this time so my eating will reflect these issues at this time.Overall I'm OK with the performance and the actual head unit however the fact the Android Auto is basically none excitant at this time and the other issues I found during install keep this unit at a average review.
