Purchased Makita wet-dry shop-vac in early 90s. Still working great, except interior sponge filter deteriorated to crumbling condition.Visited numerous local hardware and appliance stores. Nothing in stock. Nothing to order without a code.Turns out Amazon stocks replacement filters in standard (who knew) 2 sizes. Measured diameter and height and ordered. Arrived in 2 days! Installed one that fit perfectly. With 2 spares!

I bought these as reserve if the filter on either of my shop vacs foam filters gets damaged. The price I had found at other suppliers for 1 replacement filter was $20.00 so the Amazon price was much better.

These foam filters fit perfectly on my Shop Vac Hang Up Mini. The original foam filter in my Shop Vac was more of soft yellow sponge rubber. These are more of a grey plastic open cell foam like you find in room air conditioners. My Shop Vac is old and I think these newer grey ones come in newer Shop Vac units.It was easy to change out and seems to work perfectly. I didn't particularly notice any change in vacuum power. This 3 pack of filters will probably last for years.
