These were a little smaller than what I was looking for, but everyone thinks they are cute and they are easy to carry around. Good quality. And the price was right for the amount I wanted.

At first glance, these sturdy spiral cardboard exterior notebooks gives the impression of a more expensive, plastic-covered notebook. However, upon closer inspection, the high-quality cardboard construction becomes apparent.One of the standout features is the inclusion of multicolored post-it notes tucked neatly inside. What a great little booklet with post it notes of various sizes and colors. Very useful for teachers to keep little notes and reminders. The note on the front of the notebook is a great inspirational reminder. I gave one to each friend and colleague as a gift and reminder that they're valued.

These mini notebooks have a beautiful message written on the covers, are spiral bound and pretty sturdy, come with lined pages and sticky notes and a small pen with black ink. The notebooks are small, fit in your hand, and have a sweet positive message that is also tasteful. The pens are adorable but some of the skip.The positive message on the front is written in gold and is a beautiful message: "Sometimes you forget you're awesome so this is your reminder." A lot of people need that reminder, and it is thoughtful and sweet. The cover feels like thick, fairly sturdy cardstock.I love how there are holes in the front page that show colors through them, and when you open the cover you find a bunch of small colored sticky pad strips and a larger yellow sticky pad. They are glued to heavy cardstock. You flip the page and get to the lined pages.The notebooks are spiral bound which makes them easier to open fully and flip through pages.The small cardboard barrel pens use black ink. Three of the pens skipped a bit while writing or had a bit of grittiness while writing and one wrote beautifully.These mini notebooks have such a positive message, are innovative in having post-it notes right in the front of the book, and use nicely lined paper in a spiral-bound book with an elastic that holds the pen. I wish the pens didn't skip or feel gritty; with the smaller sized notebook most pens would be a little too long to use as a replacement in the elastic loop.These are sweet little books that could be given as gifts and have such an encouraging message, though I wish the pens worked better. But the message is thoughtful, it's nice that there are sticky notes included, and the lined paper is spiral bound.

These little notebooks manage to be a combination of impressive and disappointing. The gold lettering that makes up the inscription on the front cover is very pretty, especially contrasted against the flat black of the cover itself. To me, it gives the notebooks a touch of elegance. However, secured alongside the pretty front cover is a pen that seems to be made of cardboard. As far as I can tell, the outer shaft of the pen consists of a cardboard tube, just like the tube in the middle of a roll of plastic wrap, or toilet paper, but of course much smaller. And even though the front cover looks very pretty, it feels very flimsty, not the cardstock weight that one expects as an outer cover. Inside the cover, the first "page" consists of a good supply of sticky notes, some in regular size, and some the small size used as markers on documents and files. The rest of the notebook brings no surprises. The pages are lined. The spine of the notebook is spiral rings, so pages can be ripped out if needed. And even though the pens look and feel . . . well, "cheap" is the word that comes to mind . . . they do write nicely with no skipping or smearing, a fine, black line, smooth and easy. After that initial examination, the first notebook went right into the basket of my walker, to be my everyday Note to Self, and general reminder go-to. Incidentally, the sticky notes do stick well, and the colour variety on the smaller ones will be helpful for sorting things like Urgent, Interesting, New, etc. Before handling them, these notebooks look nice enough to serve as personal gifts. And I still think they can be acceptable as party favours, or stocking stuffers. They meet my personal needs perfectly: small enough to fit inside a purse or some pockets; enough pages to last through several months of daily jottings; good writing paper; pens that work smoothly and have their own spot; a generous supply of always-helpful sticky notes; and a pretty cover, with a message that just might lift my spirits on those "down" days. I am (mostly) pleased with this product.

The small journals look exactly like they do in the ad and it is very nice. I would recommend it.
