First the good. This build plate keeps a firm grip on both PLA and PETG. I have had absolutely zero issues with bed adhesion either on layer one or with corners lifting later in larger prints. If you print primarily darker colors you will like this thing. Now the bad …I am concerned for the longevity of this thing because it’s slowly leaving itself on the surface of my prints. It’s not big pieces, but it’s noticeably marking the bottom layer of my prints. The most recent example is in the attached photo.Verdict?I bought it because the one that came with my P1S is struggling around the edges. So … For single color functional prints I’ll keep using this thing for sure, but for prints where appearance matters I broke down and ordered a SuperTack.

went with the dual smooth PEI plate and it looks absolutely fantastic. It feels premium compared to the bambu plates and works just as well if not better.for PETG and ASA, I apply magicgoo and the prints come off instantly once cooled but stay rock solid during printing.I use it on a P1S, so I can't test the QR code.

Works great as advertisedI had been hesitant to switch to a textured build plate but caught this on sale and I haven't used any of my other build plates sinceMake sure your nozzle is clean if you bed level measurement is off it struggles and Clean it with Isopropyl alcohol every few prints. And it's good over a 200 parts on mine sofar and it holds up. Pretty good.

Some older reviews stated that this build plate was poor quality, so I almost didn't buy it, but the newer reviews seemed positive. I decided to give it a try.I have been using it for a few weeks now almost non-stop, and it seems to be holding up well. Maybe they have changed something, but I am having good results.I saw some reviews complain about an "imprint" on the plate after a print, and yes that happens. That is the nature of smooth plates, this is going to be unavoidable unless you use something like painters tape across the bed. While it is an eyesore on the build plate, it won't affect the quality of future prints.

I had to give the Double Smooth version of this build plate a glowing review. I have been using Wham Bam plates for a while and I absolutely loved them. But I ended up damaging a good number of my plates printing PETG without using a good separator. So when i went to order replacements i went ahead and tried this off brand one. Its right on par with my Wham Bam plates. It likely has the same weaknesses that a wham blam plate would have with other filament types. But if you are just printing with PLA they work magnificently. Definitely a strong and cheaper alternative. Thus far its needed very little maintenance to maintain good bed adhesion.

This is definitely a winner. I rarely give out five stars. This plate has the structure and density of the original Bambu PEI powder coated texture build plate that I miss after Bambu discontinued it last August 2023. Their new gold plate just doesn't have the same dense coating or stiction that the black one had. This 3D Lab build plate prints exactly like the original Bambu Textured Black PEI plate. It sticks when you want it to and pops off with no effort after cooling. I tested it with PLA, PLA-CF, PETG, TPU, ASA and PC filaments.Check out the texture of the sample photos that were printed using PLA. One will quickly see that the new gold plate creates a shiny texture while the two black plates-Original Bambu and the new 3D-Labs- maintain the dense almost molded-plastic appearance that the Gold build plate is missing.I'm glad to see someone stepping into the void and filling a market need.

I got the Double Smooth PEX plate for my Bambu X1 Carbon. I wanted to be able to get that glass like shiny smooth surface on some prints (helps when gluing) and I'm not really happy with Bambu's engineering plate. Their PEX plate though is top notch but too rough for some applications.I've now printed 3 "plates" of multiple items in PLA with this build plate and I have had zero issues so far. Adhesion was fine, removal was insanely simple (cool the plate a little and flex the plate slightly and then go find the parts on the floor as they all slide off the plate at once). The plate shows no signs of being used (unlike the Bambu cold plate) and still looks brand new. I'm not sure why other are having so many issues? I did remove the thin protective plastic seal on both sides (but not the actual PEX material which is thicker). I did nothing to prep the plate after I removed the plastic and just threw it in the printer. With the reviews I was expecting the worst but was happy to see I had none of the reported issues. I haven't seen a glass plate for the Bambu and creating one would be problematic with the nozzle cleaning/magnetic attachment, etc. and thus far this plate is a perfect substitute. I would absolutely buy another if this one wears out; my printer runs non-stop.Will update if anything changes but so far so good. Make sure you use the "High Temp Plate" setting in the slicer with this plate.Update: So PLA works great on this plate. PETG ruins it. If you get it, only use it for PLA. I threw mine out after a PETG print ruined it. If you use PETG the outline of what you printed is permanently embedded in it and then it appears on every subsequent print.

I should have read more reviews before I made this purchase, the sheet is good quality, however, the end result is questionable. After a few prints using this sheet, this is what is happening for me, there was good adhesion for both PLA and PETG, after cool down the prints left marks in the PEX surface which will, in time, transfer over to prints that you want to position in the same area.I am going to try to flip the plate over and maybe the heated bed will "soften" the marks while I print on the new side, might be wishful thinking though! Not the greatest value since I was hoping for a smooth sheet that I could rely on for 90% of my printing.unfortunately I will need to look at another manufacturer, I cannot recommend the 3DHUB PEX smooth sheet.

To be clear, this is for the [Dual-Sided Smooth & Textured PEI Plate]Replaces the cold plate on the X1C. This sticks RIDICULOUSLY well. Normally I can remove the prime line by pulling the blob but now I have to scrape and peel. Adhesion so far after 5 prints is great. It loses a star for being TOO sticky. I used the gold PEI from the P1S on the X1C... prints just slide off when cold. This... doesn't. On the plus side I suppose you can have a better chance to resume print after a power interruption since it will not shift at all.

Flakes onto prints, leaving behind residue on the plate that doesn't seem to come off with soap or alcohol. Terrible item.

2 month update: I’ve been printing daily on this plate, it works good. When adhesion is poor, it’s time to wash it with soap and a brush.I hope 3D hub releases a dual smooth pei plate! This plate works great, printed a dozen different objects and it releases perfectly. Much better than the standard plate since it doesn't require any glue.Just print, release object, scrape with plastic scraper to clean, and wipe with alcohol before next print. Super simple. As for the ArUco / QR code not being recognized, this is a Bambu Labs issue - you can just ignore the build plate warning or print a higher contrast QR code for the plate.

Bought for my X1C AMS combo as I wasn't liking the cool plate and preferred the textured plate on my P1P. This sheet so far after 40 or so hours of printing has held up. The adhesion has been better than my stock buildplate to the point I've had issues removing some prints and have had to use the scraper. Highly recommended if it ever comes back in stock. Just disable the QR scanning if using an X1C I find that feature useless anyways.

It's a good printing plate, but depending on your firmware update, there may be a warning that the plate is not compatible with some of the features of the X1C (such as the LIDAR). Generally the prints stick well when heated to 55*C or higher and release after it cools all the way down to 36*C. Occasionally I would have to bend the plate to get prints off, but I have had a couple of instances where the print stuck so well, bending it broke the print itself. I was told to use a layer of glue stick to alleviate that, but the whole point of the PEI plate was to avoid doing that to begin with.My only complaint is the waiting time for prints to cool. I will continue to use this plate as a backup, but with the original plate, I feel more productive when I have the confidence that the print will not stick and there is no "cooldown" time to deal with.Would I still recommend it? Probably, but with the caveat that if you are looking to make several plates of prints and do not have a lot of time to wait for the cooldown.
