A new carb, spark plug, and belt, my 30 something year old Crafstman 5 hp tiller runs like brand new! The carb was exactly the same as the original except that the little bracket that screws on just under the choke plate had a different thread size than the original carb. I wasn't able to use the screw from the old carb. I never throw away screws and have jars of them and quickly found one that worked perfectly. Aside from that, the swap-out was easy. I primed it with a little gas down the throat and it cranked on the 2nd pull. I think it may have been flooded on the first try. Runs like a champ. I worked it real hard yesterday for an hour. No issues.

Obligé de couper la tige du filtre a gaz chez brigg and stratton 2 modele de longueur existe. Il devrait venir avec les 2 longueur de tube 4 1/4 et 4 7/8 po 2 ou 3 quart (1 quart =946ml) mais fonctionne très bien voir photo

Rather then repair your present carburetor and then buy new gaskets , you are muncher better off buying the complete carburetor which includes all the gaskets. The price is right

Carb seems well made only problem with my application was fuel intake too long for tank bottomed out.Intake stem made of durable plastic used a heat gun to form a bend on tank bottom worked well .Engine fired right up ran well.Carb orifice cleaners pretty large and course would not recommend using them on anything but your welder tips!Overall worth the money my edger is back in business.New fuel pump diaphragm kit which was the problem on the old carb is more than half the cost of this new carbSeems like a no brainer

The price of an original Briggs and Stratton carburetor is a bit cost prohibitive so I tried this one. Exact fit. Just remember to unhook the governor spring under the gas tank before you remove the old carburetor. Otherwise you will stretch the spring so it's unusable. Replaced the original 30 year old carburetor on a 5 hp Briggs and Stratton on a Troybilt Pony Tiller. Now it runs like new!

recommend you buy this and swap the old carburetor with this kit, for the price of a rebuild kit and the gaskets you get the whole assembly ready to install, keep the old one to rebuild if you want but going this way gets you up and running as fast as you can install it, definitely worth it at a fraction of the cost to send to shop

Item arrived early and was packed well. Swapped a few parts over and only issue was had to get a new mounting screw as different size and pitch at one connection. Machining done well and cleanly. Installed on 40+ year old engine and good as new.

This carburetor works just fine and is at a great price point. The unit is not zinc plated, so I covered the openings with tape and painted it. A few days later I installed it on a 5 hp side shaft Briggs and Stratton engine that is in service on my Troy-Bilt Pony rototiller. I tested it out this afternoon and the tiller runs like it did, the day it was purchased in 1987. The kit comes with a carb, cleaning brushes, gaskets and a plug. It was delivered on time and well packaged.

NO GASKETS, after going to my local lawn mower shop they had the gaskets for $4.00 each..The top screw hole for the spring was not tapped deep enough so the screw broke off, had to re-tap. After all I went through it did start right up and works great I hope not everyone goes through what I did.
