There are two approaches in the realm of Android for car stereos. A proprietary OS with support for Android Auto, or a native Android OS. In this case, you get both Android OS and Android Auto. The downside of proprietary OS's is you can rarely get updates for them. With Android, you have a lot less hassle with updating. This has Android 13, the latest is 15 at the time of this review. I have ancient Android devices that still work perfectly well.4GB of RAM, which this has, is on the higher end. Allowing you a lot of flexibility with application usage.High quality look and feel. Responsive. Includes a lot of external connection options.

For the most part, these aftermarket infotainment systems are pretty similar. Different sized screens, different moulding for the vehicle, same general experience.I'm not sure if I got a lemon, but this one was less responsive than most others I've tried. A "good" aftermarket infotainment upgrade is far less "snappy" than a decent phone, but transitioning from maps to media was tragic. I'm not sure if it was the connection to my phone or the tablet itself, but android auto with this screen was way different than the others I've tried, and for the worse.Installation takes time but isn't complicated. The touch screen works and registers touches, but the OS seems to be laggy and a bit unresponsive. FM radio feature works.The price is in the same ballpark as other infotainment systems for these models, so based on this single sample I'd suggest shopping elsewhere. That being said, I have a high end oven that doesn't work with my high end router, but works flawlessly with an old linksys, so the bad performance could maaaybe have been environmental.

Install was easy, nice look for car, great sound, but it does not pickup local radio stations, FM. I do not know how to change it to AM. STEERING wheel buttons don't work, I can't find the factory setting code to customize this to my car. Can some one help please

I got this for our families 2012 Grand caravan and this is how it should have come from the factory!Seriously, the screen is nice and bright, its smooth, its responsive with literally 0 lag, the only time I get an occasional lag is when an app is loading for the first time that day.I had it professionally installed, took him literally 15 minutes to rip the OEM one out, connect the harnesses, plug it back in, and started right up. It took another 10 minutes to program it with the steering wheel controls and its been flawless ever since, no issues, no connection issues, the apple carplay works great with my wifes phone, android auto has a seamless connection to mine. Theres quite a few EQ settings which I 1000% recommend you play with as I swear the music sounds better with this head unit compared to the OEM one.The FM radio DOES work but i only used it to test, other than that I havent listed to a radio in 5+ years and dont plan on.The backup camera is in full color! The OEM screen only showed it in black and white, but now it has color. Seriously, why they didnt put these in from the factory is beyond me.Cant speak for the Chrysler vehicles but for the dodge grand caravan, i highly recommend these units.
