Seems to work well with only a small amount of delay in most changes. Occasional hangup but I am pleased for the price.

Perhaps I'm having the worst luck. I tried two of these devices. I can't get my two monitors to work with either KVM switch. One one at a time. The whole reason why I purchased this product is so that I can use both monitors with one switched laptop device.

I have a home theater PC that I use for gaming, streaming, watching my ripped DVDs, browsing, etc., plus I have a mini PC that acts as a media server. Normally the mini PC stays online and doesn't need interaction, but for the times I do need to interact, this KVM switch is perfect. I haven't had a single issue yet. I tried the remote feature and it works just fine, but don't typically use it.Note that my display is 1080P, so I can't comment on any resolutions above that. The only potential drawback is the power consumption, which can be up to 3 amps constant from the wall. But this will apply for most KVM switches out there and can't knock this specific one on that.

This is an HDMI/USB KVM switch for switching mouse/keyboard/monitors/etc between two different computers.Overall, I like this unit. The build quality is good -- it's metal with a nice solid feel that seems like it should last for a while. It includes power cable and some USB A-A cables that you need to hook up, as well as a button with a long cable that toggles between inputs. This remote button is very nice, as it lets you mount the KVM under a desk or otherwise out of the way and put the button somewhere convenient (note, there is also a button on the front of the device, along with a physical power switch). The switching works well (with one caveat, that I will discuss below), and it includes a good number of USB ports on the front as well as dual HDMI switches for up to two monitors. Also, the USB ports are properly powered from an isolated supply -- some cheap USB switches are wired up in such a way that it connects the ports of the two attached computers electrically, which can cause some very bizarre problems or even physically damage your computer. I'm happy to report, however, that this one is designed correctly and does not suffer from this in the slightest. I've successfully connected not just a mouse and keyboard, but also a webcam and microphone and there is plenty of bandwidth on the USB ports to at least run all that perfectly. As for the cons, I have two. First, I've had what I suspect are some issues with electrical interference from other devices causing attached USB devices to disconnect. Specifically, I have a small speaker that I had on top of the KVM, and when I did that my mouse and keyboard would randomly experience brief dropouts. Moving the speaker away from it seems to have fixed the issue, and I can't 100% for sure blame it on the KVM, but I suspect it could use a little bit more shielding inside and you may need to take care where you place it. My other complaint is the that I think the current list price of $90 is a little high, though it's not outrageous if you compare it to other similar products. On the other hand, currently as I'm writing this there is a $35 dollar discount, putting the price at $55, which is an absolutely killer deal for what you're getting. So the value as long as the coupon remains is excellent, but not very good without the coupon. So overall, I recommend this highly if the $35 coupon stays around and at the discounted price the minor issue I had with possible interference is easily overlooked. At $90 this becomes harder to recommend, though it's still definitely worth considering.

My main takeaway is the product did what I needed to and delivers good quality for 2 devices to 2 monitors. The only issues I had with the product were minimal - the HDMI ports are a little close together and having to swap cables once things are already set up is a little painful, but not impossible. The included USB cables are a little short, so you might need to rearrange devices if your USB ports aren't close-ish to each other. Didn't play nice in my existing setup because I had to use a DP to HDMI adapter, but swapping to a DP to HDMI cable fixed the issue.I didn't ding this in my review because it isn't included as a feature, but it would be nice if this included USB-C to connect to the computers for the hub, especially with newer devices moving away from USB-A.
