If you are trying to use this unit with an MCU like a Teensy or Arduino. Forget it. It is not compatible with MCU's. The Adafruit site is completely misleading and confusing. They show this product but have github links to source code and instructions for a different product that is MCU friendly. This device (the 4279) is supposed to be connected to a PC with a USB-C so you can have GPS on you PC.When powered up, my unit will flash the FIX led for several minutes and stop. The Rx Tx LED never flashes, I would expect something.Q/A listed above claims it will not work with an MCU, but according to Adafruit site. It's MCU friendly.I have many other GPS units that work just fine with and MCU, not this one.Sending it back. I'm tired of getting junk.

Does not work with raspberry pi using the USB. I can't contest to its accuracy as I never was able to get it to work

As with most Adafruit products, this one is a winner and has a good set of software examples.I have used it with Arduinos and RPi boards.Works like a champ.
