I bought it for a PC that won't be used for gaming. It works very fast and I was wondering if I need non stock cooler, but for now the stock cooler is enough.

Great CPU overall for price. Fast when paired with 32GB 5600 or 6000 mhz CL 30 timing ram and it has very good internal graphics chip so you don't need a video card for gaming at 1080p. Easy to install.

Built my first PC as my very old Dell XPS gave up. Did more research that you can imagine as was building on a bit of a budget.Decided on this as I felt being on a latest gen CPU and on the AM5 socket was important instead of investing in a new PC where any upgrade would require new MOBO and RAM. Buying a pre built was my first option but the price seemed to sky rocket as soon as you went to AM5/DDR5.In the end, got the entire PC done for around £500 and the result is fantastic.I use my PC for work and then evening gaming so was concerned that it wouldn't hold up on the gaming front - but it does. I'm not a pro gamer but I can't see what this doesn't do. I think all the reviewers that say you need big GPUs for high FPS are only looking at the FPS and not actually playing the game. I put on the new(ish) Tomb Raider game which is a great looking 3D world game and it ran great. I noticed a little (but only slight) stutter on ultra settings so dropped the graphics down to high - then it ran smoothly and I couldn't even notice the difference. I've also played Anno 1800 on ultra and it's perfect with the CPU usage at about 20%. These were both at 2560x1080 res as I have an ultra wide monitor.Be aware I've had to upgrade the stock cooler as temps were jumping all over the place, in the 70s under medium load and it crept up to 90 after a long session on a hot day. With my new (£15 thermalright) air cooler, the temps barely go past 60.Overall, this CPU allowed me to build a PC on the new AM5 socket that's fast, can handle games and provides future upgrade, all for a total build of £500.

Other than the weak vrm's with the MSI PRO B650M-P and the T-Force Delta RGB DDR5 32GB Ram (6400MHz) this motherboard is definitely a solid choice if your not planning on overloading the vrm's with an above 105 watt cpu then it is recommended to choose a more expensive board with better voltage regulators or add a water cooler as it reduces the temp by 50%. The max cpu wattage for this board with crappy regulators would not be anything over 105 watts and would be a mistake. A ryzen 9 would meltdown within a couple of months probably both cpu and motherboard would be lost. The ryzen 7 would be ok but use a water cooler as it reduces the temp by 50% from 95c to a steady 50c. ryzens cpu's get very hot the stock cooler sucks big time it is recommended to get something better asap and anything is better however you can be sure that even an inexpensive water cooler will soon become the optimal method for completely maintaining an excellent thermal profile for the ryzen cpu's.

This little chip does so much. Onboard graphics very powerful (if your expectations are reasonable). Quiet and inbox cooler is more than good enough for casual use. Runs HDR movies with MadVR + Media Player Classic really well.

It’s good if you want a working pc without a GPU, but you’ll be limited on the games you can play without a dedicated GPU.

I couldn't ask for anything better, really. A great CPU, great cryptomining performance for an APU, an iGPU that does really well with Full HD (1080P) playback, and runs under 40 degrees Celsius under (crypto) load with stock cooler. I paired it with 64GB of DDR5 and allocated 16GB of it to the iGPU. For a budget build that doesn't disappoint, this is the obvious choice.
