Brother's truck was in need of an upgrade and we decided to get this one for him. He's good with installing this stuff and he said it installed easy and he's loving the android auto and responsive screen compared to his older unit. Screen is nice and bright and has good definition. Very happy.

I got this for my 2013 Ram 1500 and what a friggen upgrade compared to the crappy OEM screen... This thing is like 2x as big, the colors are way better, the screen is responsive and the android 13 is pretty good and up to date. Overall quality is really nice, ieven the wires and harnesses came wired together for install. I had it installed by a friend and we just had to figure out where a couple rogue unlabelled wires were supposed to go and it fired right up!I like how quick you can move between apps and screen. The camera quality is pretty good, better than the OEM camera and reverse lines are awesome to have for packing up downtown into TIGHT spots.I use apple carplay and it connects instantly once I turn the key in the truck, m wife uses android auto and they occasionally fight for connection status which is another small con.Built-in GPS works but its a bit clunky and UI isnt great, would be my last resort but I did use it to test on a 500km trip.Couple small quirks, but nothing worth removing a star for.

The Android 13 Car Radio Stereo for my 2017 Dodge RAM 1500 has been an absolute game-changer. Came with everything needed to install for a simple plug and play installation. Taking apart was the hardest part but everything went back together much much faster. Not as high quality plastic as the factory but it is passable and the screen size makes such a difference that its the only thing people are going to look at.2GB is also not enough RAM to do anything significant with the screen. There are some delays after pressing buttons some times and some short freezing from time to time as it processes. Playing back local high quality movies from a flash drive has judder and data loss depending on the compression of the file. Streaming Netflix, YouTube, ESPN does a little better once it buffers for a bit (this can be done by using your phone as a hotspot and connecting to the stereo. I highly recommend at least 4GB RAM - more the better.Screen quality is pretty good, appears to be an IPS screen and does have capacitive multi-touch. It does require a lot of wiring harnesses and a lot of routing around to get everything working, no real attractive USB port additions you have to just have loose cables coming from under the dash or run into the glove box.Do be aware that iOS18 is causing all kinds of CarPlay issues. If you are using an iPhone with some iOS18 builds you may have some audio quality issues. Its not the screen, I assure you, it was happening with factory systems too. I finally found out that by going into settings and removing microphone access permissions from Alexa and from Amazon Music fixed the issue, at least with iOS 18.3. If you look at your iPhone lock screen while it is having reduced quality it will show you apps accessing your microphone, remove the permission in the app settings and presto, fixed.Ultimately lower stars here for the lower RAM and the fact that for the same price you can find one with more. Still a massive screen and a massive improvement over the plain factory unit.

The radio that I had in a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 was not impressive and needed a modern upgrade and this radio with 9 inch screen was a good upgrade.I did not realize that this was for manual AC so I’m glad this truck was just that and compatible. Make sure to confirm prior to purchase.The install was fairly easy, practically plug-in play.The screen size is decent at 9 inches and it is touchscreen. I did find it is a little bit on the slow responsive time in comparison to smart phone for example. It does support CarPlay and android auto if that’s what you use.I did have some issues at first with Bluetooth connecting but once I did get it connected it stays fairly steady, only losing connections the odd time.It also comes with a back up cam but my truck already had one installed so I did not use the one that this set came with.Overall, this is a big Improvement from what was on their previously even one the old radio was actually working. It makes the interior look somewhat newer, cleaner and that's half a lot more use. The price is fair.
