At first this felt very tight over the thumb knuckle. Fortunately, it stretched out a bit over use, and is now very comfortable. I like this better than the brass thumb ring I bought at the same time, as it protects the tip of the thumb better. The tassels are annoying and get caught on things when reaching for arrows or pulling them from the target. I wish they made a similar piece for the inside of the index finger as you will get some abrasion there if you use string twist.

New to mounted archery and learning thumb release. I love this little leather gaurd! It's comfortable and effective. I've tried a brass ring, and so far, I really prefer this leather piece. Well made, and well priced. Thank you!
