I got this dock for my new job working from home. I use two monitors, and this made setting up my workspace so much easier. Everything connects through the dock, so I don’t have a mess of cables anymore. It also charges my laptop, which is super convenient. Setup took just a few minutes, and everything worked right away. It’s made my home office cleaner and more efficient. Really happy I got it!

Item was defective. Overheated after 4 hours of use and became unusable for 2 more hours and then it repeated again.

Works perfectly, only small and helps manage lots of cables and makes the desk a lot tidier. Very easy to set up and use.

It can get hot if both laptops are relying on the KVM power but in my case 1 laptop is a 4070 Ti gaming model, and the other an older HP. Once both laptops are on separate power, the KVM immediately cools back down and stabilizes (when super hot, the displays start occasionally going black and back on in a 0.5 second, which was annoying until I figured out the power issue. Working perfectly with a wireless mouse, wired keyboard, webcam, soundbar audio and shared Ethernet. Bought the remote switch button and it really is convenient and has a little 1/2 indicator on it in case the switch is out of sight. Really like that the number of shared USB devices is 6 plus audio on this one. And it turns out even the memory SD card slot came in handy to dump some photos quickly.Monitors running at 3840x2160@60 and 3840x1600@75 without an issue. I really like when things just work as advertised.

Just arrived yesterday and I’m already very impressed. It does everything it says it would, plus one or two things it didn’t say it could!The switching is seamless, the elimination of window resizing, sharing of peripherals - including a bluetooth mouse that is now shared across all devices (connected to the unifying receiver plugged into the Dock).One thing the product description doesn’t tell you is that it will support an ultra wide monitor at 3440 x 1440.I was forced into buying a new hub after my old one died, and now I wish I’d had a 2 laptop hub a long time ago.Well done AV Access 👏

I absolutely love this kvm. It works seamlessly with 2 laptops and 2 monitors. I noticed when I plugged it in, it worked awesome but was always warm and hot. I reached out via chat to the company and they promised they had it QA tested and is supposed to be fine. Then my monitor screens started flickering and I never had that issue before. I use this for work and personal laptop. The first month was good but the second month teams video calls all of a sudden stopped working and my internet connection would stall but this was when I realized the kvm was running extremely hot. The issue was I had to be in the meeting and ended up using my phone which is not a good work around. I left it on overnight and the next morning it was extremely hot, even when I wasn’t using the laptops so kept an eye on it. After work I left it on and running but it overheated and shut down. I unplugged the power source, waited for it to cool down, powered it up and was working again. I got my usb fan and put it beside the kvm to keep it cool but the monitor flickering was horrible, it overheated again and I believe because of the heat it shut down. I’m using 2 DP ports and the usb-c cables provided. I switched to 1 DP and 1 HDMI and still screen flickering was happening.I really love this kvm and tried to make it work but due to the overheating, screen flickering, and screwing up my video calls I had to return back to my old regular docking station.To improve this kvm if there was an on/off switch to turn it off at night instead of manually unplugging the power cord this would be a huge benefit.Another improvement is the overheating. If there was a way to keep it cool without using a usb fan, and if the heating issue itself was resolved I would buy this again. It worked amazing when it did work. But when it started having issues, it was issues nonstop and I’m sad cause I love this KVM. I was also worried about the overheating as it shut down 2x on me and I can’t have that happening.

This KVM switch is a doorstop of an over powered KVM intended to act as a dual docking station. It works by taking video in through the USB C, then pumping out HDMI. It can power two medium powered laptops (up to 60W each) simultaneously, has 6 USB A slots, a further peripheral USB C in, and handles ethernet too. I'll be using this to switch between two laptops and to replace my existing KVM + double double docking station set up. It comes with a big brick adapter to power it. Unfortunately, one of my laptops runs at 140W itself so can't be powered from this beast, but it will still help declutter my desktop. Note a potential issue - you can't have both laptops use the ethernet at the same time, so be sure you're OK for this disconnection. All this said, my existing KVM was a tenth the price, so check this is the right solution for you. But if you are in need of a setup requiring: - 2 x docking stations - 2 x external monitors each - Power over USB C (up to 60W) This may be a worthwhile investment, being comparable in price to a single lower spec OEM docking station.

Lately, my monitor has been flickering while in use. I checked the connections on both the device and my laptop and they’re tightly secured. It didn’t do this at first, but I noticed it’s been happening more and more lately. I have this connected to my personal and my work laptops. It’s only been happening to my personal MacBook Pro. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. I had no problems with the PC laptop for work.Lately, I had to switch to a MacBook Pro for work and I haven’t set it up yet. I will update this review to see if it will do the same thing.Update: so I am using this to switch between my personal MacBook Pro 2019 and work MacBook Pro (latest model). The flickering on my personal MacBook is still happening. Not quite flickering but it’s like the monitor turns black for a second or two before going on again. And then it happens again a couple of minutes later. It doesn’t bother me so much unless I’m working on a big project.As for my work MacBook Pro, it works almost perfectly! It did that flicker thing maybe once but I haven’t noticed it since.I found a “solution” for the heating up of the machine. I have a desktop fan and face it toward it and it cools it off. Maybe others can try that too.

This is amazing product: plugged in, remove all old wires and hubs and othe stuff.Place this AV Access KVM and connected to 2 my PC and it WORKED!!!This is amazing!

Used enclosed usb-c cable or make sure your cables are USB-IF certified!I had a problem with HDMI output using my cable. Thanks to customer support, Kevin to point that out.
