Bought the item in July. It was working fine until February. Despite updating the firmware, the screen randomly turns on the back camera while driving. Music stops until it switches back to playing music. Its annoying and unsafe. I rechecked all my connections and they are secure. Looks like the unit is defective. I have not heard back from warranty service.

I installed this on my wifes 06 x3. Install was easy enough if you aren't also doing a backup camera.Works well with car play. Auto connects to your iPhone via BluetoothAndroid auto is a pain on the other hand. Only once was I able to get my s22 to work over Bluetooth. Using the usb Works everytime though. In most cases my phone is almost dead anyways so it works out fine.Outside of using carplay or android auto it's kinda junk at least the limited amount I used it. It lags, GPS doesn't work hardly the list goes on. That is using it OUTSIDE of android auto or car play. if youre connecting your phone it works perfectly fine.I'm giving it 5 stars because of the functions it has for the price point. If it was 600 dollars itd be 2 stars. But for under 200 for carplay it's a deal.

A true "Plug n Play" product, this one. Not a single wire needs to be severedFeatures a backup camera that is attached with hardware, WiFi, GPS, USB, Radio, Bluetooth, aux video/audio out, and video in. The radio reception is also excellent. Considering the price, this has been an obvious purchase. further adds a more modern style and appearance to the car's interior. I heartily suggest this product. Please take note that I haven't yet figured out how to play CDs with my stock CD player. If you use or listen to CDs frequently, this might not be the device for you if it doesn't support that feature.

I recently upgraded my BMW X3 E83 with the AWESAFE Android Car Stereo, and I am thrilled with the transformation it has brought to my driving experience. The sleek 9-inch touchscreen fits perfectly in the dash, making my car's interior look modern and high-tech.The functionality is top-notch, featuring seamless integration with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This has made navigation, calls, and music streaming effortless and safe. The built-in GPS is reliable, and having both online and offline map options is incredibly convenient.Installation wasn't for the faint-hearted. It required dismantling parts of the dash and meticulously connecting various wires. I would only recommend tackling this if you have some experience with car electronics or are confident in following detailed tutorials.Once installed, the system worked flawlessly, with responsive touch controls and excellent audio quality. The Bluetooth connectivity is stable, and the hands-free calling feature is crystal clear. My steering wheel controls integrated without any issues, which was a big plus for me.Overall, despite the challenging installation process, the AWESAFE Android Car Stereo has been a fantastic upgrade, offering great value for the price. This AWESAFE 9" touchscreen car stereo for BMW X3 E83 (2004-2009) has an Android 12 operating system (a big plus!), making it basically a modified tablet to work with the car. Installation is not easy but manageable (I advise you to look at YouTube for an installation video), and you get all the tools and cables in the box.The touchscreen is responsive, and the operating system runs generally in a smooth way (lags sometimes, as it has 2GB RAM). It integrates well with the car's buttons and supports the OEM backup camera (if available). The best thing is it supports WiFi connections, so you can download any apps or offline maps as you wish. Finally, it supports CarPlay and Android Auto.

its ok, but there are no install instructions and it would be great to understand the install a bit better than guess and check... EQ and subwoofer settings are really tough to get right, changing input sources throws all that out the window and you get to start over, stuff like that.the steering wheel controls work but the radio really doesnt do anything anymore, its just there. an email to support asking for some guidance went unanswered and the web yielded little help as well.so, better in some ways that stock, the bluetooth and navigation are nice to have... otherwise i had hoped for better sound quality and more consistent EQ between inputs

This is an amazing head unit. After installing which was quite easy for me because I have a background with this stuff, it honestly looks like it belongs there from the factory!I have used similar screens for other vehicles that have pretty much the same type of software built into them however the touch screens on those were not as good as this one. This touchscreen is very responsive, again, feeling like a factory head unit.Everything runs quickly almost like a laptop with barely any lag. When you get into the car it connects immediately every single time after the first time that you set it up with wireless Android Auto.Finally I have to give it to this company. They have included pretty much wire and module and harness on the main wire harness. This includes a can bus adapter which will make it work with steering wheel controls and light dimming features that are already exist in your X3. Furthermore, there are many outputs for subwoofer and front and rear speakers in the form of RCA line level outs, so it has huge expandability potential for those who want to upgrade their rest of their car audio system with separate amps and speakers.I give this a Solid 5 Stars 100%. Amazing value as well. I remember 10 to 15 years ago something like this would cost thousands of dollars!

I was skeptical for the price but I am blown away. Fit was excellent. Looks totally stock. Taking our time it took only 2 hours to install. There are no real instructions but several you tube videos. Having done it once could do it in an hour.Connected seamlessly to my iPhone. How can you beat this price?100% recommend. 2010 X3

Very well made head unit replacement that offers a like-oem fit on the dash. Everything functions as it should with the added bonus of being able to install gps and music apps for free rather than using the dealer markup options.Installation is fairly easy however you need to be pretty comfortable around wiring and disassembling dash components.

I had always wanted a screen in my car and unfortunately this screen came with a lot of issues over the last year since I purchased and installed. The reverse camera randomly triggers while driving, the radio will randomly shut off, the sound on the screen will randomly shut off after receiving messages. I tried reaching out to customer service for troubleshooting help. They kept offering the same troubleshooting steps even after I told them it still wasnât working. I asked if I could get a replacement and most recently they stopped responding.Iâm definitely disappointed because it seems like I mightâve just received a faulty screen but havenât h gotten an answer regarding a replacement.
