Without a set screw, there was no way to hold the bit in the handle thus making the tool ineffective.

I'll start out with the good. The bits are sharp though I may tune them a bit. They create nice, clean holes either by hand or with a drill. The wood case is also a nice touch.The handle is another story. The bits don't hold well. It seemed like there was a bit of magnetism at first but it was very week. There is a hole that looks like it was intended to have a set screw but it wasn't tapped and no set screw was provided. I ended up taking a 10x32 set screw from another tool. After drilling and tapping it now holds the bit tightly.If anyone else is doing this best to use an 8x32 set screw as I think you could tap directly in the exitsing hole...I didn't measure so just an assumption.

The handle is well designed and the cutting ends can go on your power tool if you desire to use it that way.

Almost ok for aluminum, useless in steel. Had to grind my own edges onto the csinks. Just save up and buy a good 1/2" Csink from Noga instead.

Okay, all I wanted was an old fashioned weekend handyman cheap countersink. Was surprised they are so difficult to find! Found this one on Amazon - and liked the hex shaft so got it. I have to confess, I did not expect the manufacturer to go the extra mile and actually save me time and energy by chipping one of the edges for me! That is right! It arrived with a chip in on one of the edges. For my purposes - it still works just fine.This tool is fine for the weekend handyman (handywoman? - I don't know what is politically correct these days? Then again - I don't really care!) who has a home project he wants to do, who likes fiddling around the house and doesn't want to spend a bundle on tools. It is not for someone who has his own home workshop and is a perfectionist. It is not for someone who needs it in doing their job - unless they have tools walk away on a regular basis - then - get this and leave it out in plain sight.
