Greatly extends the range of any Baofeng radio. Its good quality and functions better than I thought that it would. They are very long completely unfolded but I think it looks cool.

I love it! It works very very nicely! I am in the basement a lot on GMRS and transmitting from there is near impossible until I coupled this antenna with my 10watt radio, my AR-5RM. Also my 7-8watt UV-5G Plus works great with it too. The antenna has 3.8db gain so that is great! And it can handle up to 10watts. I havn't seen it on an SWR meter yet though, but I think it has a nice low SWR. It nearly outperforms my Nagoya NA-F30G tactical antenna which has 3.5db gain. So that's saying something!

This thing is ridiculously long when you unfold it. It does fold up into a much more manageable size that is easier to use and travel with. Much better reception than the little antenna that came with the radio.

These aren't the best quality antenna's. I used them hunting and found I got maybe 3km range. The velcro to hold it together doesn't last and they kept flinging up at the worst times possible! I also found that where the attend likes to bend wears out really fast. I am not sure how useful they are for other people, but ended up stuffing them away in favour of a higher quality option.

Ok so the reach on this thing with the Baofeng radios and 4 or 5 hz raidos is RIDICULOUS!

I had to make a minor modification to the base of the antenna to get it to fit on my Baofeng UV-17 Pro Max, but compared to the antenna that came with the radio, this one gives me about 6 miles of range with obstructions, and approximately 15-20 miles line of sight. For an inexpensive antenna, I’m pleasantly surprised at its performance. 10/10 would buy again.

Quick shipping. Looks like great quality and fits perfectly. Haven’t really done any before and after comparisons but I’m sure it boosts the range considerably. Good to have for the price.

Put on my UV-5R, folded it and strapped it, velcro strap didn't hold it and antenna sprung open and the rubber antenna tip sling shot across the room. Steel tape in the antenna is all rusted up badly. To the point I won't chance running it on my radio. Amazon refunded the cost of the item and the antenna went in the garbage where it belongs. They may not all be the same though quality control was a failure with this one I recieved.Don't recommend though if you do purchase this antenna don't be surprised of QC issues.

Nice value for the price. After one use the antenna has a crease in it. I’ll wait to see how that affects the reception to change my rating.

Bought to replace a broken antenna on a UV5R - doesn't take up much more space than the stock antenna.
