Pencils with a Story
Blackwing pencils were originally introduced by the Eberhard Faber Company in the 1930s. Their cult following included John Steinbeck and Chuck Jones, who proudly used Blackwings to create Bugs Bunny and many other Looney Tunes characters.
Despite this following, they fell victim to cost-cutting measures of the 1990s and were discontinued. But, that didn’t stop devotees from paying as much as 40 dollars per pencil to seize unused stock. In 2010, our company drew from the nearly century of experience in the pencil business to access the best materials in the world and bring Blackwing back for a new generation of writers, musicians, and others seeking a more natural existence.
Today, a portion of every Blackwing sale benefits music and arts education at the K-12 level.

These are worth EVERY penny and they cost a pretty penny. BEST pencil I’ve ever used. I got one at work and fell in love. This is the second (and third) box I’ve bought. They are wonderful for sketching and drawing. I love writing notes with them. The erasers are superb and the fact that you can pull them out and use every last bit and even replace them is incredibly satisfying. I LOVE THESE PENCILS

Steinbeck loved the 602, and I think he would have liked the Natural also. Holds its point for a long time. Absolutely beautiful aesthetically, and the smoothest writing experience I’ve ever had.

They feel like silk when writing with them. The story regarding their usage by other important people has the inspiration role. They deliver what they state and from my perspective they inspire to chanel my thoughts from mind to paper. I would recommend this product for the experience that it provides

Do you like to really see what you wrote, not have some grayish ghost of pencil lines? These are great. Fun to use. Fit in a standard pencil sharpener. The wider eraser at the end provides great coverage for quicker erasing. Be careful not to grind them away in your electric pencil sharpener. The wood and core grind smoothly. Better yet, use a manual sharpener - you’ll enjoy doing it and your pencils won’t disappear in the sharpener. Gorgeous and solid box. Wish I could figure out some useful purpose for it rather than condemning it to the recycled cardboard bin.

Crayon graphite haute qualité , la mine glisse sur le papier en douceur, aiguisage facile avec mon couteau , la mine ne casse pas .Ce crayon graphite Blackwing est vraiment d'une douceur sur mon papier à dessin , j'ai vraiment été agréablement surprise par sa qualité. Je pense vraiment que cette marque sera ma préférée lors de mes prochains achats pour des crayons graphite haute gamme.

These feel very comfortable despite their hexagonal shape (as opposed to a Derwent's sharper edges) as the edges are a bit rounded. The paint is glossy and makes the pencil a bit slippery, however the weight helps in handling. The graphite is softer than I thought it would be, comparable to a B or 2B, so there is also a bit of potential smudging and I have yet to see how often I will have to sharpen (I use long point sharpeners). They seem a bit longer than basic pencil so that's nice. I like that the erasers can be replaced as I tend to finish the eraser before the end life of the actual pencil.

Ich mache Kunst beruflich und hab schon viel von den eistiften gehört. Es sind auf jeden Fall die teuersten Bleistifte die ich mir bisher gekauft habe aber wenn man mal sich selbst etwas besonderes holen will oder vielleicht jmd von dem man weiß das er künstlerisch ein schönes Geschenk machen will kann man sich die auf jedenfall gönnen. Habe direkt ein paar kleine Skizzen damit gemacht eine hab ich hier auch an gehangen. Die Mienen sind sehr weich und man kann super gut verschiedene Schattierungen damit machen. Der Radierer hinten am Stift ist mega und ich würde ihn mit den Künstler Radierer von Faber-Castell vergleichen gleiche Qualität lvl. Die Bleistifte fühlen sich eher an wie ein B bis 2B vom härtegead würde ich sagen. Ich bin super schnell durch meinen 1. Bleistift durch was aber auch einfach daran liegt das ich echt gern damit zeichne weil es ein angenehmes mal gefühl ist. Dennoch muss ich sagen sie brauchen sich sehr schnell auf da sie eben recht weich sind und ich sie daher öfters anspitzen muss. Der costumer service war super mir wurde direkt die Rechnung per Email zugeschickt und sie waren in kürzester Zeit geliefert. Alles in allem ein kleiner Luxus für das Künstlerherz und für mich das Geld wert aber kein essential :) dennoch mit die besten Bleistifte die ich besitze

Nice pencils, nice box, but not quite buying the mystique. Seems like a 3B or 4B pencil to me. Bought them on a price drop here, but don't think I'd pay full for them.
