The first time I used these pencils I could tell the difference by the smoothness when drawing. The reviews were honest and true. I was able to buy these and what a great price!!!I also noted when I sharpened the pencil it was the first time it sharpened with the shavings intact which made a cool looking shape like a flower. The first time I ever had a fresh wood pencil and I can tell the binding of the lead to the pencil is excellent and that is why it shaved off so well. I believe the wood the pencil is made of is cedar.

After using these I don't think I'll ever go back to any other ones, despite the price. They are everything people said they are and worth every penny.

Dieser Bleistift ist top! Damit kann man super Schattenstufen zeichnen und er ist langlebig, bricht nicht! Auch als normaler Bleistift super!

I tried these pencils because they looked interesting. They claim that they write like silk and honestly, they deliver on their promise.Nothing frustrates me more than starting a sketch only to have a little grain of 'I don't know what' stop the graphite and cause the pencil to nearly nearly scrape or tear the paper. It's like nails on a blackboard!"Half the Pressure, Twice the Speed" is their claim and it's true. These pencils write like silk. A lot more expensive than other art pencils, but it's like the difference between the ride in a Rolls Royce and a dirt bike. There is just no comparison.I liked that they come with an eraser, and replaceable at that. As you wear the eraser down, you can pull out the holder and expose more of the eraser.I love these pencils and will make the my new standard. I highly recommend anyone serious about drawing or writing give their sample kit a try. I know you'll be astonished at the difference between whatever you're using now and the Blackwing Pencils.

J’adore ces crayons pour dessiner. Je passe du clair au foncé rapidement pour créer des contrastes. Pour le modèle vivant ou le dessin sur le motif, c’est super pratique!
