This is a game changer when these are used with the lboxx dolly . Im doing a large job at a hospital in multiple areas and these have been great for keeping organized and transporting my tool. I highly recommend the L Boxx system.

I bought the toolbox without any insert. It seems robust and the plastic closures work very well. So far, it suits my needs perfectly. Two years on, I am still very happy with this, although it’s time I gave it a good clean on the inside: it smells strongly of iron filings.

Nice product but far smaller than you might expect and this not as useful.

The LBoxx system looks nice but completely lacks security as the need to stack the system requires that all locks be removed. Only the top one can be locked but the other boxes are totally accessible by disengaging the one locked box from the top.If you need to secure your tools or cannot keep them in your sight 24/7, you should look elsewhere.Bosch should make a cable or other work around available due to this oversight in the development process.

Hi, I've tried all the a fore mentioned cases and the LBOXX is my favorite. The dewalt is my least favorite and the Festool Systainer falls in between. Here are some notes for you:- The LBOXX stacking system for connecting the boxes together is the easiest to use. I just clunk one down on top of another and they usually latch on the first try. They are also very easy to separate. You push in the latches on either side and they come apart. The new Festool Systainers are only slightly more trouble unlike the old ones that are a real pain with four different latches.- I like the handles on the LBOXXs. The wide handle on the top resembles the one on the Festool Systainers. If you have bulky gloves on or need to lift it with both hands there is plenty of room. This is not the case with the Dewalt cases.- I also like the latches for closing the lid on the Bosch. The T-latches on the new Systainers are a little easier to use but they've always felt flimsy to me. The latches on the Dewalt are my least favorite. They feel cheap and are the hardest to open and close.- Best of all when you buy Bosch tools (drill, impact drivers, radio, etc.) most of them now come with the "Exact Fit" trays that let them fit like a glove into the LBOXXs. There is no need to pay extra for foam. The trays are really sweet. Also, I had an older Bosch power screw driver without a tray. I called Bosch and they fixed me up with a tray at a very fair price.Best regards,John

Perfect size for small items, or more delicate items when used in conjunction with larger L-Boxx below. The red clasps are plastic, but a slightly flexible, sturdy material that holds well and are easy to open.Would recommend. Easy to keep tools in a small footprint, and to carry easily.

I have had a full set of these for about a week and I am very impressed with the overall quality and build. The organization these allow you is great. I don't think they allow the same protection as the blow mold cases but they are more then adequate. I wouldn't want to drop them loaded from six feet but in the garage and in the back of the truck they will work great. I do have two complaints:1) the 1 and 1a boxes don't have the deep hand holds on the side at the latches. Makes lifting the box awkward as compared to the others.2) you can not use the holes for a lock when stacked! A huge oversight if you wanted to have locks on all your boxes. The hole also places the lock to the side of the case. If you plan to use these in a "shelf system" the lock will/could cause interference.

Like T. Cannon's review stated, I bought this case with the expectation that it included a customizable (pluckable) foam insert. I had been researching and shopping for a new case after my switch from DeWalt to Bosch and I loved the concept of the Bosch Click and Go system. Even though my tools did not come with Bosch's 'Exact Fit' insert trays I thought the L-Boxx-1 would be a good choice in part due to the nifty looking foam insert. Needless to say I was disappointed to find my L-Boxx without foam.I emailed Bosch and was assured that both the L-Boxx-1 and L-Boxx-2 are shipped with pluckable foam insert and that I should contact the retailer. I contacted Amazon and they shipped a replacement via next day air that was also without foam. I again contacted Amazon and they initiated an inventory review to find out why their supply had no foam. I also contacted Bosch via their website's chat feature. This time I was told that the L-Boxx-1 & 2 NO LONGER include the foam insert but if I want the foam I can gladly pay $25 +$10 shipping.Bad form, Bosch. Bad form.So why is this foam such a big deal?Basically, without an insert of any kind, the box is useless...unless you want your tools, batteries, and charger to bang around against one another. Do you want that? Of course you don't. If you did you wouldn't have bought the L-Boxx in the first place. So to secure your tools inside this case you now have to shell out an additional $35 to complete the case.To be fair: the case itself seems very nice. If you are a Bosch customer and your tool(s) came with an Exact Fit insert this box is a no-brainer. The design is innovative and light yet sturdy. But if your tools did not come with insert trays, like mine, I can't recommend this toolbox. Also: Amazon's customer service has been awesome throughout this fiasco. Their chat feature is convenient and the operators (especially Kara) are extremely helpful. Thanks again!*** Update 01.30.2013: I was contacted by Bosch and offered Exact Fit inserts. Big thank you to Bosch for fielding the complaint, explaining the change, admitting the rollout hasn't gone quite as planned, and going above and beyond to make it right. I'll update this review once i receive the inserts.*** Update 04.14.2013: Bosch Customer Service hooked me up with molded Exact Fit inserts (which will now be standard for most Bosch kits going forward) and I couldn't be happier. As such I've amended my rating from three to five stars. Thanks Bosch!
