Not a mechanic or too handy of a person, but was able to follow YouTube videos to install this screen in a few hours and a few cuss words later. Read on for my instructions on how to install so it may help you.As for the review, I give this 4/5 because the screen and module are nice, quick, and a very good upgrade for my x3. Plug and play. No splicing or anything needed. However, the instructions for installing and setting this module up are not very helpful. There was quite a bit of troubleshooting I had to do so I hope if you’re reading and considering buying this thing, you take my advice. The unit comes pre assembled in its casing, which is redundant and wastes time because you have to disassemble it (only 8 screws, mind you) - but still!Once you take the unit out, you have to use a pry tool (thankfully one was included in the box) and remove the trim of your vent, then a few screws with the screwdriver that comes in the box (you don’t need to buy or use any other tools other than what comes with the product). Then remove your radio and start feeding the wires up into the top where your storage compartment used to be. Again, tons of videos of this installation so go check em out on YouTube. The problem I had was that this module did not come with a backup camera which is surprising at this price range. Tons of other sellers include it on other websites (especially the Chinese ones, where this is from).Further, After I installed everything, It made for an annoying and infuriating time, since the module would keep trying to put on the rear camera at random times. This would totally cut out my audio and put an ugly screen on the module while I’m in traffic or reversing. Anyways, I played around in “car settings” in “factory settings” on the module and put in the password “000000” which led me to a list of options, one of which was to disable the rear camera. After doing so, that annoying blank screen went away and now I am totally happy listening to my music and seeing my navigation without interruption.I don’t have a rear camera at the moment, but I hope that when I install one, that it won’t do the same thing over and over by randomly putting on the rear camera while I’m driving forward or just parked for a little while.Other than that, very nice upgrade. Only had it for a few days now so I’ll update in a few months time.

I recently had the chance to upgrade my BMW X3 with the EagleNav XT892CX3 Car Stereo, and I have to say, it's been a fantastic enhancement. Here’s a rundown of my experience:Installing the EagleNav XT892CX3 was surprisingly straightforward. The package included everything I needed—wiring, connectors, and a well-detailed instruction manual. Even though I’m no car tech expert, the process was manageable. The stereo fits perfectly into the BMW X3’s dashboard, and the provided bezel/frame replacement worked well after a bit of trimming. For those who are not comfortable with DIY projects, I’d recommend watching a few installation videos beforehand. The 7-inch touchscreen is a major upgrade. It's bright, clear, and responsive, making it easy to use even while driving. The built-in Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto are game-changers. Connecting my phone via Bluetooth was seamless, and having all my apps, navigation, and music at my fingertips—or voice command—is incredibly convenient. The stereo handles calls with crystal-clear Bluetooth hands-free functionality, and the steering wheel controls make adjusting settings a breeze. One of the highlights for me is the built-in GPS with North American maps. It’s incredibly useful, whether I’m navigating through city streets or on a road trip. The option to use the GPS both online and offline adds flexibility. The stereo also supports multiple media playback methods, including FM/AM radio, online music, and video streaming. The sound quality is excellent, with customizable EQ settings to match different music genres. The reversing assistance feature is a nice touch, although the rear camera is not included in the package. It would have been great if it came with one, but it's an optional addition that enhances safety. The Mirror Link function works well for both Android and iOS devices, and the ability to connect to Wi-Fi opens up possibilities for downloading apps like YouTube and Gmail. While the performance is impressive for the price, there is a slight lag in responsiveness, which is typical for budget-friendly touchscreens. This isn't a deal-breaker but worth noting if you're accustomed to higher-end systems. For $199.99 discounted further with a $30 coupon, the EagleNav XT892CX3 Car Stereo offers exceptional value. It’s a perfect upgrade for BMW X3 models from 2004 to 2012, modernizing the car’s interior and enhancing the driving experience. The easy installation, solid performance, and useful features make it a worthwhile investment. If you’re looking to bring your older BMW X3 into the modern age, I recommend this stereo.
