My buddy told me to buy 2 carbs. From 2 different mfg because they are not really good. He was half right. First carb the choke won't close and machined surfaces were terrible. I kept the solenoid and gaskets and pitched the carb. This carb looked good, everything opened and closed nicely and a real surprise, it fired right up no adjustments of any kind needed. Installed on 17 year old Kohler SV590-0003 ( 19hp-single)

After 2 cuts the carb leaked gas in my garage overnight filling the house with gas fumes. Woke up at 6am to the smell of gasoline. Lucky the house didn't catch fire. Carburetor is garbage.

Carburetor fits like the original and works fine. My Kohler SV590 motor runs well at all speeds with this carburetor. No adjustments were necessary. There were no missing parts. The only issue was with the wire connector for the cut-off valve. It is a little tricky to get it connected properly. I suggest that you put the wire connector on while the carburetor is still off of the engine. I learned this the hard way. I could not tell if there was any correct way to insert the connector. When I pushed the connector in the slot, the red wire fell out on the floor. At first I thought it was broken off, but it turned out that it just got pushed out because the slot in the wire connector was not orientated to where it would mate with the prongs of the valve. The valve appears to have one of the prongs twisted slightly, as to not be parallel with each other. I had to reinsert the wire in the plastic connector and then rotate the wire until it would mate properly with the prong on the valve. The only other issue was that at first it seemed as though the valve was leaking a small amount of fuel. I will be keeping an eye out for a possibe leak and returning it if it does.

Repairing a Husqvarna YTH20K46 with a kohler CV16S engine that had been sitting for 2+ years. The carb was all stopped up. Probably from gas sitting in it. This carb was a direct replacement except for the shut off switch on the bottom which I wanted to have anyway. There was a nylon bushing on the throttle edge that I had to move over from the old carb. The old carb caused the engine to need choking to run at full speed and didn't want to start either. This carb fixed that problem and the engine is running very well now. This carb came with a new fuel filter and gaskets for both sides, intake and outtake. There was a little brass nipple inside the box, maybe for the throttle linkage? I didn't use it. Wiring up the gas shut off valve on the bottom was not hard. Connected black to a cover bolt that was close by and the red went to the key switch so it had power when the key was in the run position. Very good deal. Way easier than trying to fix the old carb.
