The carb lines up to bolts and fits, had to make a very slight adjustment to the low idle screw to keep it from stalling otherwise used the trimmer a few times for about a tank full of fuel each time, the trimmer starts good and stays running each time with no issues at this time. I will see how it’s performing at the end of the cutting season

Was surprised it came wth a new spark plug, fuel line, air filter and primer bulbs! Took 20 minutes to replace. Added fuel and primmed took about three pulls and away it went. Note the one gasket is missing a small hole. Punched out a hole to fit. After machine was running, adjusted the idle and mixture screws.

I bought two of these in order to fix an FS38 and FS55 weed eater. They are easy to work on and the carbs bolted up without too much difficulty. That said, they didn't run as smooth as I would have liked and I took them off to find out why. The gasket provided should not be used between the carb and the motor as they are missing a hole at the 6 o'clock position. You can cut that hole or reuse the old gasket and then they will run fine after adjusting the idle and high speed mixture. Good value!

Still hs45 trimmer carburetor not only a single screw on it. This unit, of course, has a high low adjusting screws plus idle adjustment screw. Very easy to use. Bottom of the screws and turn approximately 3/4 of a turnout for h&l. The only issue is the gas lines are for a different style tank. The gaskets were also incorrect dor thw HS45. Luckily, the gas lines were not compromised. Oh yeah, had to file down the black plastic funnel cap on the high speed adjustment screw so it would clear the air cleaner assembly. 428 Canadian delivered to my door, what a bargain!

For my stihl fs38.Good customer service. I had not installed the carb in time and the return window closed. I tried running the engine with the settings it came with. Then after that failed. Tried using the factory settings stihl uses. After that failed. Continued tweaking the set screws for high low and idle screws. Still nothing. Runs erratic and wont stay running and shuts off. Customer service was good even though they only refunded 65% of the full value. Otherwise they said if I returned the carb then they would fully refund but just wasn’t worth the trouble and took the 65% refund. So a new genuine oem zama stihl carb here in Canada goes for $85. And a brand new stihl fs38 trimmer with warranty is $199. So guess what I’m doing!
