They work perfectly. The two smaller ones doesn't have the locking device. It doesn't really matters because they are for smaller snap ring, which are easy to keep compress/expend. The large one lock in place so you can relax your hands and focus on location. Fancy, but it works great

I’m a industrial technician and I don’t use these a lot but when I do they work great worth the money even though I don’t use them a hole lot. But I’m a sucker for channel lock pliers . I think they’re still the best pliers made.

Covers a lot of sizes. Big ones lock in spots you can release the grip. The other are just spring pressure.

I hesitated for a while with these... I had a pair of reversible pliers with tips you could swap but a front bearing replacement just toasted them. These are similar but at least I can pick a size appropriate for the work to be done. It made huge difference with some large snap rings and I don't regret the investment. Very happy.

I've been through several sets of snap ring pliers in my time. From kind with replaceable tips like these to the preformed type that you have to have several types of to complete a set. While I've never like replaceable tips in the past, I think it was because of the quality of them. These have been outstanding so far. No issues with the tips slipping out of place or twisting. Having the three different sizes helps as well to keep the most used setup ready to go at all times. Caught them on a good sale and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a set.

The Plier's don't stay in the slots made for them making it a challenge to close the lid of the case. They need a small lip for the handles to snap in.

The pliers are great. Well constructed and should last a long time. Worth more than I paid for sure. The case on the other hand is very poor. When I opened it for the very first time, I broke one of the tabs that hold it shut. Also, the model 927 pliers don't want to stay in place. The keep popping out of their slot. Definitely not enough of a reason to avoid purchasing these, but just a FYI.
