I just sharpened all my plane irons and an old chisel with this jig on sandpaper (180, 220 then 600) on my table saw cast iron top. This sharpening jig works fantastic! Excellent quality for the price, smooth roller bearings and nice clamping arrangement - very easy to use. It is fully-stable on the roller so not really possible to crown a plane iron, but that was expected. It restored the irons and chisel to perfectly square, straight cutting edge. I did straight bevels (35, 30 and 25 degrees) on most, and tried a micro bevel on one just for fun - super easy to move the angle gauge block back a bit and a couple swipes on fine grit!

I have had countless honing guides of all different price ranges, and none have ever been really easy to use while also being high quality. Tried all of the saker brand ones that are supposed to make sharpening chisels a doddle, but always had problems and the quality of the guide wasn't Great. I wasn't expecting much when I ordered this because it's cheap, and they all have been crap so far. Took it out of the box and immediately I could tell this was really good quality, and had been well designed. The guide is far superior to any I have tried previously, and it's a doddle to sharpen my chisels now. The roller is really wide so you can't lean too much to one side causing an uneven tip. The clamping area for the chisel is made in a way that the chisel will always be perfectly flat when setting up. The guide just glides across the diamond stone due to how smoothly the roller rotates. Overall, it is miles better than any guide I've used previously, and it will last a long time due to the build quality. Well worth the money, 100% reccomend for pros and amateurs.

Honestly I was surprised at the quality of this unit. Extremely beefy construction, a wide roller with ball bearings, angle set, and hard anodized aluminium construction. I'd expect this type of build quality to be easily north of a hundred bucks if not more!if you're looking to sharpen your chisels and planes, look no further. The guide works extremely well!

The biggest plus for this set is the wide roller wheel, you can sharpen backwards and forwards at speed without having the piece rock at all so it's great for tuning up neglected tools. The depth guage is well thought out and easy to use and the angle finder is more useful than I expected it to be.All in all super happy with this

WOWzer! This is a brilliant product. I like it for its simplicity of set-up and ease of use. It makes sharpening chisels a breeze. I've not tried it with my plane blades yet, but I'm certain it will be just as good. Can't recommend it highly enough. Awesome.

Works well, the machining seems more then accurate enough and nothing seems loose like a lot of cheaper products. Used it to reprofile the chisel tip on my burbon blade with a set of cheap dimond stones. Did the job perfectly. Can't argue with the price and quality

Although the description said it did, it did not come with instructions. Other than that, it's a solid, well-made tool that works as described.
