The KVM switch worked reasonably well for a few months. Then, the unit would no longer work properly. Monitors would still receive output, but the keyboard and mouse no longer worked, the hot key button on the front stopped working, and I could no longer switch between systems 1 and 2 (using either the buttons on the front or the wired remote).I eventually got a replacement sent to me (I had to pay to ship the defective unit back), but that also stopped working within 3 days: the mouse or keyboard would work for a few minutes, but not both at the same time. After powering the unit off and back on, it would no longer work at all (no lights on the front, no output to the monitors).I disconnected and reconnected all the cables, including the power cable and toggled the power switch on the back: it beeps when initially plugged in, but no lights on the front. The monitors, keyboard, and mouse all don't work.

I initially bought a TESmart KVM seemed to have better reviews, but it failed after about 6 months. I contacted TESmart who couldn't fix it remotely and made me post it to China. They said they would give me a refund, never saw a cent and gave up after dozens of emails to them. So no KVM and also down the cost of postage back to China, not happy. They say the real test of a product is it's support and TESmart failed big time.This KVM is smaller, neater, works better and so far no need to call for support after multiple months of use.Dislikes: Every so often when you switch between computers the KVM only picks up one of the two monitors, if you power off/on the KVM, it all comes good though. I also found the Bluetooth USB receiver for my wireless keyboard / mouse does not work in the Keyboard / mouse slots, but seems to work fine in one of the normal 2.0 USB slots. (I didn't check the instuctions, so maybe that's how it works.)Overall, very happy and would highly recommend this product over the poor service and product from TESmart.

I found setup a bit fiddly and the manual is in broken English, but the customer email support helped me with all my queries and worked out all the issues (which were all my fault)One thing to note is that it's powered by USB, but comes with an US power adaptor that the USB cord plugs into. Being in Australia, I had some problems getting it to work initially, but I think it's because I used an incompatible Australian power adaptor (wrong voltage/wattage/amps/whatever) but once I got past that, it's been good ever since.

I don't normally leave rave reviews, but this was an amazing find. Though it was a bit pricey, if it fits your use case, it's absolutely worth it. For the record, I've now been using it for two weeks for upwards of 14 hours per day.I switch between a Mac for work and a Windows desktop for gaming and personal projects. I have a total of four monitors - I bought this KVM switch with the intent of using 3 of the 4 with both of my machines (the work Mac gets the fourth monitor to itself), and it does exactly that.I was very pleasantly surprised to see that this switch comes with all of the necessary cabling to hook up all of your hardware to it; I was fully expecting to have to buy a few missing wires.The only downside to it is that by the time you're done hooking everything up, it's quite a messy bundle of wires (not that it's anything particularly new if you, like me, were already using 3+ monitors). Luckily, the included remote button comes in to save the day. I have all of my wires hidden behind my monitors with the remote coming out in front of them - it makes for a very clean-looking setup from the front, and only I know what horrors lie beyond the screens. I suppose our cats might judge me for it when they venture behind the desk...At $370, it was a little hard for me to bite the bullet. But, once I considered that all of my computing hardware already ran about $4000 for the machines and monitors, it suddenly wasn't so bitter. For someone who works from home now and for the foreseeable future, it's a huge help, and I would readily buy it again for any future setup.

I had been looking for a 2 computer three monitor solution everywhere and finally found it! Works awesome! There is a wired remote switch that work great. If you use a wired mouse you can just double click the mouse wheel to switch and that is really nice. When I went to my wireless mouse that did not work as when the computer goes to sleep the unit can't pick up the click anymore. Not a big deal though as the button is very convenient.

In general, for video and USB (mouse and keyboard), this switch works great.The major issue I'm having with it is that I'm unable to use the "audio out" on the switch because of constant buzzing/static noise in the speakers.I have a pair of "Sanyun SW102 Computer Speaker" bought here on Amazon. I connect the speakers on either of my laptops, and they work great. But when connected to the KVM Switch there is a constant buzzing/static noise. ***EDIT 2021/03-31 : the buzzing is also present when connecting headphones. ****I think it's from the provided "A Cable" (HDMI/USB/Audio out/Audio in) because, when the speakers are connected to the green jack (audio out) on the front of the switch, but the green plug of the A Cable is not connected in the audio out jack of my laptop, there is no noise. So the switch itself does not seem to generate the noise. But when I connect the A Cable's green plug in my laptop, the buzzing noise starts.It's not a critical issue for me, but from time to time I will have to switch my speakers from one laptop to another.

Well, i was sure i reviewed this when I purchased it. This is effectively an update. I purchased this unit because of the pandemic. I started working from home and had to have similar setup to work. I also wanted to be able to switch to my personal PC without having to double everything.This switch is what I was looking for. My first impression when i received the switch is that is was nice and solid. The box is very well made, the switches and of good quality. I started setting this up and found that the instruction were not very good. With a little search on the WEB and youtube, I found additional information that help.I had one problem with the switch. The provided cables were not working very well. The USB connection quality was bad and, if you moved the wires, just a little, you would break connection to the keyboard and the HDMI.So I wrote to the manufacturer explaining my problem. To my surprise, they replied the next day. They said they would send my new cables and that I should received them in a few weeks (it does come from China). They actually showed me the package with the tracking number. Well the cables never arrived. I wrote them again. Again, they replied the next day, wow. I explained that I did not received the cables. They were really good and said they were shipping new cables again. This time, I received them in about a week. Verified the cable and now it works perfectly.The product quality is very good. It does everything I wanted.It also has an additional remove switch to make it simple for the user to switch back and forth between computer, really nice.The service response has been one of the real good one compared to many other places, they actually reply. Just that is very nice.So, the switch is good quality, works well, customer service is really good and they do what they say. What else do you want.Would i recommend this product, ABSOLUTELY. Just make sure you know what you are buying and what you are doing. Don't expect miracles. It does what it should do and does it well. We will see in a year from now if the product lastsHave fun

[My Husband's review]This device has worked a charm. I had a personal setup at home with dual screens, then with COVID WFH requirements, I set up my workstation for my client laptop on the other end of my very wide desk (actually 2 desks joined via a bridge). This was now 4 monitors on my desk, and my personal monitors were much better than my work monitors, and I was not going to buy 2 new monitors for the work station.I never even knew about a KVM switch until I started looking at 49in monitors wistfully, and then these switches appeared as options. Since obtaining this, I have now cleared up a whole half of my desk by eliminating 2 x HP monitors (re-purposed with my daughters for their online schooling) and an additional Logitech keyboard and mouse. This is incredibly convenient to jump between computers without moving.So my setup - 2 x LG widescreen HD monitors, with a Dell D6000 dock and Dell laptop (work) and a Surface Dock with Surface Laptop 2 (personal), and a Logitech K330 wireless keyboard and a M705 mouse, both on a single unifying transmitter. On my Surface Dock, I also have a Sebrent 7-port USB 2.0 hub with switches. Also I had mini DP ports on the Surface dock so I am connecting to the switch using 2 x mini DP to HDMI connectors. The D6000 dock has 1 x HDMI for direct connection but the 2nd connection is DisplayPort so I am using a DP to HDMI adaptor. Note that most of those DP to HDMI adaptors are uni-directional, they would not work from HDMI to DP.A few points that may be helpful:1. It was not very clear from other reviews if I could use other cables than what were supplied. I tried in an effort to be more sensible on cable lengths, but it didn't work out. This may have just been user error, but certainly the "A" cables - the ones with the HDMI + USB + audio and microphone jacks all connected together - you most definitely have to use (a bit more on that below). The "B" cables (for the 2nd monitor) seem like standard HDMIs so maybe you can substitute out. However once I changed out to the OEM cables and got everything working properly, I didn't want to mess about anymore, my cables are all tucked away nicely and I am happy.2. I assumed (didn't spend enough time in the instructions) that on the A-cables, the USB and audio and microphone jacks were only required if connecting up to an older type desktop, that did not have an HDMI or DP connection. So once I got my monitors working, I was so pleased that I didn't spend too much fuss on the keyboard and mouse not functioning on the switch. After a week or so of rocking with 2 keyboards and mice, I decided to delve a bit more into what was going on with the USB ports on the switch, why nothing was functioning. Only after reading the instructions carefully (and also emailing support, who were very helpful!), I realized that I needed to plug in the USB connections as well - the HDMI connection does not take care of everything. Once I did that, the receiver plugged into one of the back USBs (non-powered, I have the hotkey switched off) now works perfectly, so I am now finally using to the full potential - same 2 monitors, 1 keyboard and 1 mouse for both stations.So the be clear on the hookup using 2 docks:1. Connect each laptop to each dock.2. Get the A-cables.3. Take the HDMI only end of the A-cables and plug into the "IN 1A" and "IN 2A" ports on the switch.4. For computer you designate as station #1, take the multiple connection end from the A-cable plugged into "IN 1A". Plug in the HDMI connection into the dock (directly if your dock has that connection, or with an adaptor if it has something different like DP or mini DP).5. Also plug in the USB connector and the audio input jack into the dock. If there is an input for the microphone then you should also plug in that jack, otherwise leave that jack alone.6. Repeat the same for the 2nd computer dock, using the multiple connection end from the cable plugged into "IN 2A".7. Now connect your 2 monitors to from the 2 HDMI outputs on the switch with 2 cables.And that should be all. I have a dual monitor riser on my desk from FITUEYES, which has a center piece and then two extensions that each swivel on a pin to bring the monitors in (so rather than swivel the monitors themselves you actually swivel the risers themselves - better for me as my monitors have minimal movement). No I don't have much hidden below my desk apart from the power connections, most is right below the risers. Under my left riser is my station #1 dock, right is station #2 dock, and below the center is my switch. So I have easy access to all ports on both docks and my switch, and thus I can switch computers using the button on the switch itself. That means I don't need to use the wired remote that was supplied- but I tested it out and it works fine.The switch looks the part, solid built, small enough that it is unobtrusive, and it does not run hot (unlike the Dell D6000 dock - yikes! I had to order a separate cooling fan for that). In hindsight, it seems very simple on how the connections and cables should all be hooked up, for me in the heat of the moment and trying to just ensure it was working and I didn't receive a dud, I made a it of a mess of my first hook up attempt.Again, great product for a dual computer set up to share 2 monitors and 1 keyboard and mouse, don't hesitate to get. At some point again later on (I tend to take things in stages sometimes), I will test out hooking up my other peripherals to the switch (external Jabra 500 speaker / microphone, dedicated webcam) to the switch and see if they work on both computers whenever I jump between them.

If you're like me you've been working from home for months. You have a good desktop setup that's comfortable but you have a work laptop. You want to keep the two separate and yet you want to utilize your good setup for work. Enter the KVM switch.The switch does exactly what you need it to do: swap all your peripherals between your desktop and work. With multiple monitors, a nice mouse and keyboard, you want to swap back and forth frequently. It's annoying to have to unplug multiple things and swap them to use it, and if you're like me you'd just rather not do that at all. With the switch that happens at the click of a button, whether that's on the switch, the wired remote, or one of the hotkeys. It's really convenient if you swap back and forth between the two during the day, so maybe you swap back during a break for a few minutes.This particular model swaps two monitors so it's great if you have a multiple monitor configuration. While I have three in total, two is enough for me to do work on, and I actually like having one monitor stay on my desktop so I can still monitor things.I gave it a four star because it's not without some problems. The hotkeys are difficult to work with and I had trouble setting them up. The wire setup isn't too difficult although there are a lot of wires to setup. I also find the switch doesn't work nicely with gaming keyboards, my Razer Chroma sometimes doesn't get fully powered and so the G keys + backlight don't work. When it works perfectly then everything is great, but I run into issues here and there so I can't really say it's perfect.Overall I would recommend it though if you want to be able to swap between two machines effortlessly.
