While it is true that this is a true accordion style filing system, there is a problem. Like every filing system, there are tabs to identify what is stored within that particular folder. So why is it a problem? The size of the tabs on each slot are tiny. You can label a file named zoo and you’ll be okay, but anything with more letters and you have a problem. Also, there is no way to even affix a label to each tab since they are so small, and you can’t actually write on the file labels themselves.It’s a decent file folder system that folds up into a small case, however what good is it if you are unable to ID each folder? Keep looking and make sure you find a file system with a way to write on the tab and have a tab large enough to write what you really want to call it!

I purchased this file case to keep all the papers together while working on my mother's estate so I would be able to just pick it up and go to whatever appointment I had and know that I had everything I needed with me. It turns out that the one I got didn't just have 24 pockets it had 36 pockets and that worked out perfectly because now we are working on two estates and the extra pockets have come in very handy. I'm very happy with my purchase.

We don't have much paper work to store but this does household, dogs medical and some recipes no problem. Love the fold out.

Its perfect for what I need for my bills. Its sturdy and has lots of room for my bills. Its light weight and easy to carry. It comes with labels for labeling sections. I love the color. I am Shelly Hayden my husband was Ward and he passed away here not long ago so I have to learn to do financial decisions and so I got this to help me. It will be perfect for me. Shelly. I will be ordering more because these will store nicely and is waterproof.

The item arrived packed in clear plastic. Once open, it contained a note (pictured) and a few non-sticky labels that go inside each tab. The labels are thicker card-stock and are perforated to fit into the tabs. However, the darker tabs are pretty dark in color and it's hard to read the label through it, despite having used black permanent marker. The tabs themselves are not the most sturdy; they're made of thin plastic that I image could fall apart easily if not using care. However, they do the job of dividing each section pretty well. The accordion style is fine, although I found it hard to keep it steady while loading my papers into it, which is likely due to how brand-new it is. The labels included one clear-plastic name-tag type tab that is self-sticking, which I used to give the organizer its name on the outer black section. Finally, the "locking" mechanism is sturdy enough, but obviously doesn't lock (the description doesn't claim to do this), and I doubt it will last a very long time if being heavily loaded with papers and frequently carried around. I've had it for a few days and will check back in a few months once I've used it a bit more.Solidly made for the money, but lacks quality in building materials. 4/5 stars.

This is overall a good product with a couple issues that disappointed me. First of all, it is extremely difficult to read the tags written on and inserted into the index tabs. It comes with larger black pre-printed tags with the months of the year and alphabetical letters , but I needed to make my own by writing the category on it with a pen. The yellow tabs show the printing OK and the orange, barely... but the other colors are extremely difficult to read through. I am not sure why they designed them with different color plastic in the first place. Clear would have been perfect. The other very annoying disappointment is that they should have made the pockets deeper. A regular 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper covers the tabs, so it's very difficult to even see the tabs. See the photo I uploaded.Over all, I think it is a decent product and I have decided to use it without sending it back. I will however have to purchase some white stick labels to affix to the tabs so I can at least read the categories, even if I have to hunt for them behind the sheets of paper in front of each.UPDATED: I changed my original 3 star rating to a 4 star rating and would have given it 5 stars if it were taller so the tabs showed above the 8.5" x 11" sheets of paper. I went ahead and purchased some sticky labels from Amazon and had to cut them down to size. Now at least I can read where the docs are stored. I looked around Amazon for a better product, but found many more complaints on other products. The case on this is superb, strong and easy to carry. I am glad I didn't send it back and will just have to hunt a little behind the docs to find the right tab, but that's OK... Hope this helps you with your decision.
