If you are looking for a speed controller that can be used for an analogue fan, this will not work for you. If your fan does not support pulse modulation, this will just cause your fan to vibrate until it reaches a high enough setting to push it past the magnetic field of the magnets.It would have been nice if it had a jumper to support both. It seems ok, but not general purpose enough for me.

One arrived DOA. After close inspection of the board, I found a surface mount diode that was ripped from the circuit trace. This is clearly a factory defect. I was able to repair with my needle point soldering iron, and it works as advertised. Used as a speed control on 3 arctic p14 fans in parallel.

Works excellent for controlling a 12V, 1.4A fan. Polarity very important. Handle with care, easy to damage (electrically and physically) the controller if not careful. Damage easy since it can handle up to 5 amps, anything over 5Amps will more than likely destroy this product (i.e. read 1 star reviews, for example, this product will brick if you use it on a vehicle circuit which are usually higher than 5Amps). Project needed a controller that can handle amperages greater than 1.0 amp. Will purchase again if other projects require a controller of this nature.

I hooked this controller up to a set of led lights and nothing happened. I had 4.2v on the incoming side and 0v on the outgoing side. Turning the knob gave no results on the outcome of the outgoing side. They are getting returned.

Arrived partially smashed not the yellow caps bent. The one mounting hole is covered by the green cap that’s bent over it the pcbs are different sizes by a quarter inch and I can see why the small chip under the green cap in the front part almost has one side of the ic’s pins sheared off. It’s going back. Amazon gives some hints to write a review. So I’ll use them Zero “value for money”. Not “easy to install” cause it’s going back. And “sheerness” yeah you sheared down to the pins.

I used it to dim my house number light and it does the job very well - NO OVER heat. at this price, I have no complain. highly recommend. note for those who complained overheat, they may have reversed the +/- poles, I am saying this from my real experiences, because my wires does not have clear labeling of +/- poles, so I am sure I reversed them, the consequence was that, not only the unit does not work (the light on the unit does not light up), but also the unit is extremely over heated, then I reversed the two poles, everything is working with NO Overheat at all.
