Connected to 12v at 18 amps, the regulator and on off switch have no effect always 100% power. Unit got extremely hot very quickly!! I do not believe this is suitable for anywhere near 30amp as stated or even the 18amps I was using. If you ran it at 30amps I exspect you would need a fire extinguisher to hand!
