I used this to repair broken blow molded tool cases. The size is perfect for this application.There is a pin which helps keep the two halves aligned as you close the clasp. This is nice to have on a plastic case with even some heavy tools in it, suitable for say

If you need to hold a small box closed tightly then use these. They work very well and cam over onto the detent to keep the box secure.I used them on a guage block set and it holds the lid tight against the blocks to keep them from moving in transit.

They look nice, but I have a few small problems with them.1) The screws are sometimes not centered. The phillips cross will be offset, looking not great.2) Some arrived corroded. Luckily only 2 of 10 arrived corroded and I only needed 8. You may not be so lucky.3) To close correctly with a satisfying click, each latch will require a slightly different spacing. You can't just make a spacer from spare materials and expect it to work on each latch. Luckily if you just loosen the screws on one half slightly it may give it enough play to work correctly so long as you try to make them a hair further than they need to be.

Beautiful, works well. Not the most robust thing in the world tho.
