This is a cool device, however, if you are using it to access the TTL levels in radio control device, there is minimal shielding and generates quite a bit of RF Noise.... ferrite wire clamps and a shielded case resolves most of it. Still.. .it’s a lot easier and economical in both time and money than pulling out old devises and make something to convert back to TTL...

although many experience computer users and ham radio enthusiasts can easily build serial i/o interface adapters, this unit takes a lot of the hard work of scavenging parts and time required for builds and turns a need into an easily accomplishmentthe FTDI chipset ensures compatiblity across a wide range of computer systems and high-frequency transceivers... it was easy to instant fashion a USB interface for computer control of a Xiegu G90 using the ring and tip (rx and tx) points of a 3.5mm stereo cable interface for computer control of the radiorecommended due to good construction, shielding, and the cross-platform and cross-protocol voltage and connection protocols... a nice piece of gear for the toolbox that will avoid the need for fabrication of interfaces in order to accomplish communication port interfacing
