Only mistake was I did not read what size on snap rings these are used for. These are for BIG rings. I needed a smaller set yet I still kept these as they were on sale and are quality made.

I think this is one of the best tools for removing the superduty front end snap ring. You will need to lightly file or grind down the points as seen in the picture

I purchased these to remove the snap ring off a Ford F350 - The pins on the tool were a little too big and I had to file them down some to get it to fit. The tool is strong and the pins held up well however, the spread on the tool handle is so wide, you have to have X-Large hands to squeeze the pliers. I couldn't do it and had to have a friend come over and help. We finally got the snap ring off however, a better tool design wouldn't have helped.

Le pinze sono ben fatte e solide come il marchio Knipex ormai ci ha abbituati.ATTENZIONE le pinze sono veramente grosse e sono adatte ad un uso industriale .Non sono adatte per un'uso fai da te e precisamente per smontare anelli esterni di piccole dimensioni come si possono trovare nei motori di scooter e auto ecc...

#1 For LARGE snap rings...I changed out my wheel bearing assembly on 2010 F250 diesel and with these I had the snap ring out in under 2min. Fair warning though I did have to grind the tips down just a little to make it fit better (took a minute and a half to grind, 30 sec to pull the snap ring) these are literally the exact same size as the snap ring hole so with out grinding them down they fit tight.. This was my first time ever changing a wheel bearing assembly so i was expecting it to take a while, But it wasn't hard at all. I can see how the snap ring can cause people to steer clear of this job but with these knipex pliers it was EASY. Bought them from Amazon with FREE one day delivery.
