Had to replace my old mat as I was doing HIIT workouts and my other mat was slipping. Bought this mat. I looked for one that will not slip and a thinner mat. Used for the first time and works great. No slipping.

This GAIA Yoga mat has a great ‘grippy’ surface that does not become slippery. I started with a thicker foam mat and those thick ones are potentially a bit dangerous as they are slippery when doing Yoga moves. You could slip and hurt yourself with those cheaper thick foam ones.Gaia thin ones are one of the BEST you can get. You can use a cheaper one under it if you are outside on uneven ground. Always have the Gaia next to your skin.

Tapis parfait et de bonne qualité.Toutefois le livreur de Intelcom a laissé mon colis a 400 pieds de la maison entre 2 poubelles. Côté service ca fait dur. Comment aurais-je pu deviner ou était mon colis . Trouvé par accident !!!!!!

I have been delighted by this mat so far. It is a little thicker than the yoga mat I’ve used for the last 7 years. The added thickness makes it both grippier and pleasantly springy. The carrier strap has an elegant, simple design - nice to carry and very easy to get off and on. I can’t comment on its durability because I’ve only been using it for two weeks. But given other reviews, I expect this to be my go-to mat for a long time.

Decided to chop up the yoga mat and make it a layer of protection for my toolbox and it works perfect, a nice quality mat as mine gets pelted by hot metal chips and takes it like a champ.

The likes are, it fits my needs as a kitchen floor covering. It is a little thin, but any thicker and it would be a hazard leading to tripping on it as I shuffle in and out of the kitchen. Yoga enthusiasts might find it a little too thin, but the price is right for what I use it for.

Nasty chemical smell...... This what I get for buying cheap yoga mat. Read online about pvc material, not good for one health and environment.

Very well made mat for the price! I had a thin one I picked up from Winners previously that came with a yoga DVD, but found it didn't offer much padding and would hurt my knees and wrist. This one is thick enough that my knees don't hurt, and doesn't slide around.I just started doing yoga (for mental health during covid) so I'm not spending a long period of time on the mat, but for 30 minute stretching sessions, this works great. I also like the carrier it comes with, very basic but keeps the mat nicely rolled up when not in use.

Generally happy with the mat. I use the mat to do calming yoga stretches as well as intense Chloe Ting workouts. Even though it is only a quarter inch it make a huge difference from just doing yoga or working out on the hardwood floor. The mat provides extra cushion for my knees and back. My spine doesn't feel like it's getting crushed vertebrae by vertebrae when I'm doing sit-ups anymore. I also like the simple carrying straps for when lock-down is over and I can take it to my local yoga studio. I have used it a dozen times and I have not seen any tears or permanent imprints on the mat.The mat first smells a bit of plastic when I first took out of its vacuum seal packaging, but after letting it air out for a day the smell has mostly dissipated. I've bought another yoga mat from Amazon before and it absolutely reeked of toxic fumes (I felt like I was puffing paint thinners) so I see this as a great improvement and only smells mildly toxic.I also really liked the forest green colour and was pleasantly surprised when the product delivered was the same as the photo. It looks a little more blue in my photos due to the lighting but it matches the photo on the product page pretty well.TLDR; Smells a little bit upon opening but otherwise a great mat for a wide range of workouts.
