It's a great case and I love having it on my Pi. The problem is that my fan bearing has started failing after about a year and a half of continuous operation. Granted, fans are a normal wear item and I expected it to fail at some point, just not this early.I haven't tried sourcing a replacement fan yet, but the beauty of this case is that if you're willing to forgot the external GPIO access, it looks like you can fit a wide variety of aftermarket fans on should the included one fail. The heatsink can also be disconnected from the GPIO extender so one could possibly keep that on with a third-party fan.

Ensure you install the DeskPi drivers, also ensure the card is seated correctly and I recommend to not install and plug anything into USB until you install the drivers. Also make sure to test your USB ports afterwards to ensure everything is running as expected.

From opening the box, the presentation was great the instructional booklet was in proper English, good pictures and in colour. Reminded me of a Phanteks Manual. It looks good, spare thermal pads, the daughter board fit like a glove, and aligned perfectly. You can notice the fan sound however, it's not obnoxious. The case does not feel or look gimmicky. Makes the Pi feel like a mini PC like a mini Lenovo computer. No regrets buying this, and when I get another Pi. This will be the housing for it. Recommend!

Easy assembly. You have to adjust how far the joining plugs mate up to get the rear panel plugs to align. The case, once assembled, has zero twist to it. Its nice and ridged. The fan provides a noticeable flow of air.

I was looking for a case that moves all the ports to the back and turns it into basically a small game console or set top box style system, and it does that very well. Love the included fan and heatsink. Used this case to turn my Pi 4 into a Android TV set top box (I had to install android on my Pi myself)

It's a great little case, but even though the specs say programmable power button, and the box has "safe-power button", all it does is cut the power to the Pi...there is no safe power down regardless of what the specs say. Even the DeskPi team in their github page says they can't do it. For that I only give 4 stars. Otherwise...I was able to mount an AudioInjector Zero sound card horizontally on the daughterboard, using 2 standoffs from a 52Pi Rack and a bit of JB Weld. I cut the traces from the a/v jack on the daughterboard, then soldered the sound card's line-in directly to the jack, then drilled and mounted a 3.5mm stereo jack just above the a/v jack for line-out. I did away with the GPIO adapter so I could wire the sound card internally, as well as stripped the fan wires and soldered jumpers to them to connect to the GPIO still. Lastly I mounted a micro usb port just above the usb-c port, wired to the 5v pins beside the front usb ports. This is to power an aptx bluetooth transmitter, which also plugs into the line-out. I wanted fit it inside the case as well, but there just wasn't any room. I use it with bluetooth headphones, but my right ear is weaker than my left, so I adjust the balance in Alsamixer, combined with Pulseaudio-equalizer. Now I just need a remote. :-)edit: After adding an rc6_mce remote, I can now do a safe-shutdown using the remote's power button. Problem solved. :-)

I've been looking for a minimalist case for a while and this works really well. Full sized HDMI and the 2 port front USB ports make this a winner. The fan on the Heatsink is underwhelming. It works even with decient overclocking, it's just not as well as I'd expect. It's quiet though, maybe that was the point.

Excellent product for your Raspberry Pi 4, this case does a great job cooling the CPU/SoC. I live in a tropical island were the average temperature is 79°F the CPU does not exceeds 72°C with the CPU at 100%.PS: The fan control works natively on raspberry Pi OS 64bit therefore no extra software needed, however, on recentversions of ubuntu or Manjaro 64bit the driver for fan control isn't working yet looking forward for updates.
