Seems to work fine, but there's no documentation, etc... For those wondering, it doesn't show up as a device in Device Manager in Windows, it shows up as a COM port. Software that use GNSS expect the data to come over a serial port, so it all works. It was confusing at first because of the lack of documentation, and I guess being new at this didn't help.So for those wondering, you do not need to install a device driver or anything, just plug it in, and the software should simply find the data on the COM port. Enjoy!

There are very few places I could get this to work. even a layer of fibreglass was too much for the antenna and no connector to add even a length of wire to help. The remote round pucks seem to be better all around.

I bought this to aid in mapping our water and sewer for our town. I’m the water and sewer operator and we had a bunch of old maps but it’s just a shot in the dark tying to find anything. So I’ve been using this to help mark our assets more accurately. This will get it closer for the next person to locate. I don’t really have a Trimble unit to compare it too but it’s close in Google which is what our mapping software is based off of. I use an iPad Pro 12 with this and a cellular data plan and it works great for us.

Device worked as advertised after figuring out the right drivers to use. Windows driver selection by default instantiates the device as a "Sensor" instead of a virtual com port. In theory this should work using windows Sensor API but for most users, they just want the classic NMEA feed on a com port.Following steps had me up and running as expected:follow the below steps to set it:- open Device Manager- find the GNSS locations sensor- right click and select "update Driver Software"- Browse my computer for driver software- Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer- select "u-blox GNSS receiver" in the listI'll buy some more of these.

I like the cheerful green LED on this dongle. It is configured for American GPS and Chinese BeiDou satellites It may be possible to re-configure in Windows using the Ublox U-center program but I don't know how.As another reviewer stated, you must use a USB 2 socket, not USB 3.I am using this on a Linux computer for Network Time Protocol. The jitter of the NMEA sentences is amazingly low at a millisecond or less. Not something the average user would care about except as an indication of excellent hardware and software.Linux detects the pulse per second output from this dongle but I have not found a way for NTP to use it. Again, not a thing most users would care about at all.I have this on a 2 metre Amazon USB extension cable in an attic window. On a Raspberry Pi or Linux computer you can install gpsd and gpsd-clients and then use xgps to watch a diagram of the American and Chinese satellites in the sky.I intend to get another one of these.

I have had this dongle work on Windows 10 and a Raspberry Pi 4. Note that it will not work on a pi 4 if the USB 3 connections are being used for data drives due to an interference issue with the pi 4s using usb 3.

Funciona muy bien pero debemos estar cerca de una ventana para que capte bien la señal.Si estamos algo lejos se puede emplear un cable alargador USB.
