Accidental buy now and the seller refused to cancel or refund the purchase so I advise that you do not do business with this person(s). I can't believe that they just couldn't hit cancel and refund me for a purchase that I have no use for. It is quite disheartening in this day and age that a simple button press is all that was needed yet they refused to even contact me or answer any of my inquiries. I will never ever in a million years or however much time I have left on this earth buy anything from them again. Gikfun was not fun at all, they do not live up to their name nor their PROMISE of easy returns/refunds. Buyer Beware!!

I purchased these to build a dive computer cable. My dive watch requires the purchase of a $120usd cable which I couldn't bring myself to pay for. The dive watch itself works great, but its always nice to be able to download your logs rather than scrolling through the watch and writing them down.

Recognixed immediately by built in Windows 10 driver.Works well on turn around test in TerraTerm (by connecting TX to RX with jumper).Only issue is it does NOT use a "USB Type C" as advertised. As shown in one picture, it used a "USB Min A". If you do not have a spare cable of that type like I did, make sure you order one.

Both of the adapters I received had pins 25 (AGND) and 26 (TEST) bridged. I believe this is intentional. The board trace underneath these pins covers both pins. According to the FTDI FT232RL datasheet, "Pin 26 Test must be tied to GND otherwise device appears to fail". Both adapters are properly assigned a COM port when plugged in and work perfectly. I have uploaded many Arduino sketches multiple times without any problems. I have no problem recommending these. If you want a case, breakout cable and instructions expect to pay more.

Great for getting your RS232 on. They work well, and even provide both 3.3 and 5V power. Use them to program ESP32's and get up to shenanigans with consumer electronics.

Product worked fine, composite wasn't cut cleanly though, needed some dremel work to remove excess left by factory.

The devices work perfectly. The computer recognizes the device as a com port without needing any special drivers and the board is clearly marked for doing proper connections. Plus, the price is great.
