Works great, just as described. I've got 2 wireless dongles working; 1 keyboard & 2 mice. 1080p 60 Hz no problem over old cat5e or cat6 I crimped myself.

Could not get the HDMI functionality working no matter what cables I tried for Cat6/7 or HDMI. Just would not work. KVM function worked though.

Purchased this HDMI kvm extender for a while now and it is very smooth to use. Video quality without delay and no compression, the promotional content says that you can extend the keyboard and mouse signal by 165 feet, the environment I use extends about 150 feet, and the use of the effect is no problem at all.

only passes HID devices over USB, if you're using this for a remote control station for a security system, don't expect to load a flash drive with footage through it, gotta go straight to the DVR or run a separate USB extension.

Pro:HDMI properties of this device work flawlessly. Video and sound were transmitted with less then 100ms lag.Caution:The USB part required me to download and install generic USB drivers for USB over ethernet before they would work, and even then it only supports basic USB devices such as Mouse/keyboard.Any device that requires codec translation for communication (in my case, an X-carve) do not work over this device.

This product surpassed my expectations and met all my needs with some caveats. Here are my observations.Design and features:The extender is solidly build given its metal construction. It comes with a power adapter and a usb a-b cable. It is also relatively compact but that is only judging by the pictures of its competitors. More interestingly, relative to its competitors, it seems to be the only one with a type-b connector on the receiver side, where most of the others have a type-a, requiring a type a-a cable, which is unfortunate. So, kudos to the designers for this one. Lastly, the price is about half the others which appear to have similar specs.Function:My use case for this product is to extend a surveillance DVR to a portable display. I chose to use a Raspberry Pi compatible 7" display with touch capabilities. Unfortunately, the touch didn't work for other reasons, but. I did test a regular USB mouse with some issues as noted below. The display is about 1024x700, so I didn't push the resolution limit. But I had no problems driving it with CAT6 in-house wiring from a closet to a kitchen (Problems/limitations:-The quality of the ethernet cable is important. It took me a while to figure out that despite the short length (5-6ft) a cheap ethernet cable wasn't sufficient. Using CAT6 or above worked. I did not get anywhere close to 100ft to test though. This is not a product issue, just a caution.-The transmitter can get warm, though my location for it is in a warm part of the closet. I will monitor, so this is only a possible consideration.-The only real issue I encountered was after about a day of continuous use, I noticed that the mouse had stopped responding. Resetting the transmitter solved the problem. I have not gauged how often this happens because if the touch interface isn't working then I probably wouldn't use the mouse continuously, but it's nice to have the option to. I suspect this is one of the harder things to do for most of these KVM boxes, so I am not at all surprised. But I could be satisfied with a workaround that uses a timer to reset the transmitter once a day to reset its firmware. This is the main reason for 4/5 stars.Overall, very good so far.
