About this item

  • EASY TO USE: Quickly roll over the personal information you want to conceal. The Guard Your roller cartridge lets you easily mask over long lines of text in a single stroke, covering six lines at a time with our patent pattern and ink. The retractable roller makes it easy to store - no mess!
  • LONG LASTING: Each roller lasts approximately 1,600 impressions or 160 feet. Pattern width is 1.0 inch and covers six lines of standard text. The roller is refillable with an IS-007CM refill cartridge.
  • ECO-FRIENDLY: Simple and effective protection with less mess and less noise without requiring space. Safe to use for all ages. It is an excellent alternative to a shredder and is recyclable-friendly.
  • MULTIPLE USES: Perfect for bills, credit card offers, bank statements, tax returns, postcards, junk mail, and more.
  • IT WORKS!: A uniquely designed patent pattern combined with the formulated ink works on paper surfaces and instantly masks your private information. In combination with oil-based ink, the encrypted way penetrates non-glossy papers so personal data cannot be seen at the front or back. Please use our Guard Your ID Advanced Roller to hide your personal information on glossy surfaces or prescription bottles.

With identity theft protection stamps from Guard Your ID handy, it’s quick and easy to ensure your private information stays safe. This Guard Your ID roller delivers an encrypted pattern in oil-based ink that penetrates the paper, leaving text like your name and address unreadable on both sides of the non-glossy paper. Use it on documents like bank statements, bills, postcards, and mail.

This product is wonderful, deserves a 5. However, my first one would not open to accept a refill. I am giving this a try in hopes this one opens when required. Works great for its intended use. Does take a minute or two for ink to dry, so be careful. Does stain clothing. I recommend this product highly with only the one reservation.

Can’t live without these! I’ve been using these for years to mask my personal info from address labels and junk mail. Ink is dark and it has great coverage.

Best ever purchase. I never throw away any mail that has; my name, address, problem, social security #, or any personal information pertaining to me. Can not afford to have my identity stolen. It can be taken with you, easy to use, covers great, and gives me piece of mind knowing my information is not out there to be used against me. It is small, light, has replacement cartridges and can leave out so is always handy. My trash is now, just that, TRASH. Not another life to be duplicated.

This saves me time. No more cutting off my name on magazines I leave in waiting rooms. Or cutting my name and address off of boxes that I use for donated items. And when I'm tossing mail, just a swipe or two over my info, I'm good. Love it.I do put it in a tiny resealable bag, just to keep the ink from drying out. I'm not sure if it's going to make a difference or not, it's just what I do.So, I decided to test the permanency of the ink. After 3 days on my magazine, I wet my finger (licked it), and ran it across the Ink. Very disappointed. (See picture.) It came right off. Oh well. It was a glossy magazine. If they need to see my name and address, feel free to stop by, I'll gladly give you all my mags I can't keep up with. Ha Ha.

I haven't used any other Guard Your ID models or brands of similar devices so I can't compare them but this little ink roller seems to do a good job hiding personal information. One roll across a flat surface leaves a good camouflage of ink, as long as the surface is flat though, and even. I did use it to roll over prescription bottle labels and that worked pretty well too but I had to go over some spots twice simply because I was working on a curve. Once I'd done it a couple times though, I was able to do one roll on the bottles and get pretty much the same camouflage effect as on a flat envelope, magazine label, etc.I keep mine on a little shelf on the kitchen counter so that it's easy to grab and use. Otherwise, I fall into the old habit of just throwing things out, maybe tearing a piece of the paper off that contains my info and crumpling it but not being very smart about it. Now I've been using this roller pretty diligently. It's easy and fast. The one issue I have is that it doesn't have a little plastic cover for the bottom, or a little container that will last better than the original cardboard box it came in. I keep it in that box because more than once I must have either not pressed the button on the top hard enough to pull the roller back inside, or else I pressed it again while putting it away without realizing it and the roller ended up leaving ink on something it shouldn't have. So I try to be careful to make sure the roller is retracted and then I sit it in the little box so that any ink that does escape doesn't get on anything it shouldn't. So ya, a little snap on piece of plastic for the bottom to assure the roller is covered up would be nice. Otherwise, I'm happy with it.
