Product is junk. Used it for doing the stairs in my house, 1 day after the 30 day return policy 2 of the knobs stopped tightening and seller would not return any messages for a replacement. Still have half the stairs to finish. Avoid at all costs and buy something better. Buyer beware.

Bad design you can’t tighten the screws that hold it too enough when in a tight corner. They put the screw too close to where it buys up against a piece of material (if it’s a against a wall you can’t tighten it enough for it to keep the shape

*Warning* The imperial side of this ruler is graduated in 1/10th of an inch instead of 1/8th or 1/16th. This makes the imperial side of limited use if every other measuring device you own divides inches up into half/quarter/eight/sixteenth/thirty-secondth etc...We got this ruler to help with measuring things in our unfinished basement. A ruler like this is one of those things you don't realize you needed until you have one.As noted in a couple of other reviews you will need to disassemble the ruler when you first get it because it ships with each part of the ruler stacked on top of the previous one, which means that when you fully extend the ruler it looks like a staircase (and doesn't like flat). It also has the rulers positioned so that as you move along one side of the ruler the measurements alternate between metric and imperial instead of being all metric on one side and imperial on the other.Once you take it apart you can reassemble it so that the rulers alternate being on top and below, which will allow it to lie flat. You might also want to flip every second ruler end-for-end so that the assembled ruler is all metric on one side and imperial on the other. You can also take off the big bulky plastic circle measuring thing, which just serves to get in the way. There are so many things to love about a ruler like this. You can pull off a couple of segments to make the ruler easier to handle. You can join segments together to make 2D "rulers" for shapes like squares and triangles. The grooves in the bottoms of each ruler ensure everything slides smoothly without getting caught on things. There are things about this particular ruler that I don't love as much. There are degree markings on the end of each ruler, but I can't figure out how to use them as they don't line up consistently with any part of the neighboring ruler. Some of the ruler ends are damaged, with a weird puckering in one case and the black finished being chipped on another. And of course the imperial side is absolutely worthless because it is graduated in 1/10th of a inch instead of 1/16th or 1/8th.Overall this is a serviceable ruler for the price, provided you have the time and patience to take it completely apart and put it back together before using it, and that you want to measure things in 1/10th of inch.

My husband, the carpenter who will be using this tool, hasn't seen it yet because it's going to be a Christmas present. If he has a vastly different opinion of it, I'll update in January. This multi angle ruler allows for easy measurement around corners of all shapes and sizes. This sort of ruler is quite clever and I've been on the lookout to get one for my husband for a while now. This feels like the materials are all good quality, and compared to my drafting rulers, they do seem accurately marked. As another reviewer noted, it would definitely be worth taking this apart at every second join to alternate which ruler segment (left or right of the join) is on top as it arrives layered all the same way. Alternating will help it lay more flat.

I got this just in time to do the tiling job in our bathroom renovation. There's not much to say about Gunpla's ruler, but everything there is to say, is good! The ruler is solidly built, with very little flex despite the number of joints. The adjustment knobs have good grip and really locks the angle into place. I love that there's an angle finder on each end of every segment. The markings are all well etched and very easy to read. Having multiple hole templates for the head attachment is very handy. I was able to easily mark out all the holes for the plumbing in my shower onto the tiles I was installing. It's a pleasure to use well made tools, and this ruler is a very well made tool. Great job, Gunpla!
