Looking for alternative round lens hood for my Q2. This comes as an affordable alternative to Leica OEM. The only negative is the outer hood is slightly too narrow? I wish is it 2-3mm longer.

I've not had good luck with cheap Chinese accessories for cameras, but this one surprised me.It's metal, very well made, fits like a charm, and comes with a plastic lens cap too.It's a tenth of the cost of a genuine Leica hood, and does the same job.

Fits perfectly and construction is excellent. I use this sometimes to keep my OEM Leica hood free from nicks. Recommended.

Just received mine, great quality, the 49mm lens cap too. Why on earth though didn't they make the outer inside thread a standard size so you can add larger filters like cpl or nd? 67 and 72mm are standard sizes, but it's somewhere around 69 or 70mm. Was this purposeful or what? Very disappointing for me to what could have been a fully versatile design.

This lens hood fit my Q3 perfectly. I didn't see any mention on the product page of them including a lens cap, but they do include one (of course you would need one since the OEM one wouldn't fit over this hood.They mention on the product page that this hood helps protect the lens/camera from accidental falls, and sure enough the second time out with it I dropped my camera from 5 feet up onto a trail. It landed directly on the edge of the lens hood. While it did dent the lens hood ever so slightly, my lens and camera came to unscathed.
