I bought this combo for two reasons - the lens hood and the lens cap with an attachment. The lens hood works well, and yes the lens cap fits on my lens... But... for some reason, the lens cap on this lens tends to fall off - often. I was hoping to be able to attach it to my lens to my lens, so if it fell, it would still be attached to the camera somehow. I received a string, but no hole to attach it to the lens cap with. It didn't live up to expectations and is a waste of money for half of the product.
