I recently acquired the HDMI KVM Switch Dual Monitor, and it has significantly streamlined my workspace by allowing me to effortlessly switch between two computers while sharing dual monitors and peripherals. The setup process was straightforward, requiring no additional drivers, just a simple plug-and-play configuration. This switch supports up to 4K at 60Hz, making it ideal for both work tasks and light gaming, although those with super high-resolution needs might consider a DisplayPort alternative. The build quality is impressive, with a sturdy metal construction, and I appreciate the clear labelling on the ports. The addition of a wired remote controller provides added convenience, enabling seamless switching without the need to reach behind the device. In terms of performance, the switch handles my devices smoothly without any noticeable delay in video signals when alternating between computers. This makes it perfect for my current work-from-home setup, where I alternate between professional and personal devices frequently. The design is compact and discreet, keeping my desk tidy and organised, which is a bonus. The inclusion of four USB 3.0 ports is a welcome feature, accommodating my mouse, keyboard, and other peripherals with ease. Overall, this KVM switch has proven to be a practical and reliable tool for managing multiple machines, enhancing both my productivity and gaming experience.

I got this KVM switch to manage multiple systems - one for my work laptop and personal gaming PC, and another for two homelab servers. While it works well for basic switching, there are some things to note.Single Monitor Support: The product images suggest support for dual monitors, but the one I received only has one HDMI input per PC, meaning it only supports a single display.Performance: For gaming, I didn’t notice any major difference compared to a direct PC connection. At 1080p with 144fps, everything runs smoothly. I can’t comment on 4K@60Hz since I don’t use that setup. It does what it’s supposed to, but if you're expecting dual-monitor support based on the pictures, be aware that this version doesn’t have it.The only let down was the advertisement of 2 monitor but it's got only 1, otherwise it would earn 5 stars.

It's a really nice unit, the extendable switch is a plus. Hooked it all up and now I get a monitor that randomly shuts off. Narrowed it down to display port 1 input. Any other input and it works fine. 3 stars for faulty input otherwise works like it should.

Works well. Please note there are no video cables included in package, none are promised, but all KVMs I previously purchased included video cables...USB cables *are* provided. The EDID, one of the main reasons I selected this version over others (I did not need the 3 computer input for example) does not appear to work. When switching back to my PC, all open windows are moved to the main screen. External EDID is still required.Wake up is slow to activate the screens and sometimes remains on black screen. Switching to other PC and back resolves the issue. My issues are not sufficient to return product, but may consider different models if purchasing a new unit.

This is a really convenient way of connecting multiple machines to one set of peripherals. It's really easy to set up, just plug and play really.Haven't had any issues running a high refresh rate 4k screen and seem to be getting reasonable usb speeds too.Comes with a button to switch over which lets you hide all these cables really well too. It's definitely a good way of making your desk a lot neater.Might have some issues with super high resolution/refresh rate monitors due to HDMI constraints and if you need that then id recommend a display port one which you can pick up for a similar price. But for pretty much everything beyond really high spec gaming this should do and works well with many more displays.

Changing the switch from PC to Mac sometime takes time even after the switch is powered. In particular it takes a bit of time to get two monitors running at the same time with Mac mini (one a 4K and the other a full HD). Maybe an 8K version works better but I wouldn't know that unless I test it.
