If you are looking for a high quality steno pad or "writing tablet", this is not it. The back is not chipboard. It's just slightly heavier paper than the cover. The cover itself is only slightly heavier than the paper. The paper seems to be thin, though it doesn't bleed through. However, the pages easily come undone from the spiral if you pull with even the smallest of force.If you are looking for something high quality, this is not it.If you just want a pad of paper because this size is convenient, then perhaps this will meet your need.If you need to write while holding this in your hand on your on lap, this will not work.Doesn't meet my needs but I'm too lazy to return them. Will use them til I can find something better. Pray tell me where can I find something better? My local stores only stock something even flimsier than this and Amazon does not seem to carry the quality brands that I bought in stores in the past. So sad.
