Disconnect the lamp stand with with wires inside and Remove old dimmer switch light inside the lamp stand need to expand the hole to fit in place snug enough with new dimmer switch light. Two wires top and bottom. Each wires connect dimmer switch light on each end and the other wires top and bottom wired together. Assemble the dimmer switch light inside the hole. Before Reconnecting the lamp stand to make sure the lights work. If it is put the lamp stand together.

It only worked for 2 cycles of OFF-LOW-HIGH then it was only OFF. I took it apart and found that the problem was caused by not trimming where the plastic was fed into the mold. Poor quality! Try a different brand.

It turned out to be the same switch as the original. Wasn't crazy about the shiny gold knob! Something a little more subdued (or maybe matte black) would be nicer.

This switch was correct as far as a replacement piece. BUT switch broke within a week of operation. This switch must be OLD stock, becuase the plastic housing just disintegrated to pieces. SJS
