This will fit an older style CONTRACTOR SHOP-VAC 2gal, but the package DOES NOT CONTAIN the plastic ring that holds the filter in at the bottom.Not complaining, they did not advertise the ring, just a heads-up.

The quality of these are superb. You can definitely wash them out depending on how many details you do a week. The installation was super fast and I didn’t see any decline in my vacuums performance if anything it’s actually performed better. As for anyone saying that these have broken when you’ve installed them, don’t pull it out like you’re trying to hurt it. Replace your filters with care. I’ve purchased from this brand for my shop vac and now for my RIGID! And yes, the suction isn’t hindered, and these fit perfectly snug. Detail for a living and won’t go back to buying directly from the big wigs ever again

Good value for price. they fit well but are just a touch to tall compared to original shop vac filters making it very hard to close the filter retainer. I had to use some oil to close it as it wouldn’t budge. Happy with purchase and would buy again for my shop vac.

The product did not fit the vacuum. First we ordered this product it fit perfect. The inner diameter is too small by a few millimeters.

The overall quality seems very good on my genuine Shop Vac it is a VERY tight fit. I found the way to make it work was to run a damp finger around the inner rim then force the retaining cap into it then screw it into the Shop Vac. I'd rate it a minor annoyance. Not worth returning. The inner diameter should probably be about 2 or 3 mm larger for simpler installation.

The filter fits as well as the OEM filter but there are about half as many folds in the filter material. I suspect it will have to be changed more often. But the price was right.
