Not thrilled with this unit. It is always in a closed circuit state. I have rewired it twice, just to be sure I didn’t make a mistake their. I have all the settings the same as I do on my other PID for the same job.I hate having to return stuff.

Works like a charm! As long as you have some knowledge about PID control mode functions. Some may find it intimidating, but take your time and figure it out. These controllers work great, better than on/off control temperature switches. With SSR output you can control many kilowatts of electric heat, or anything suitable for phase control, even motor speed for ventilation.

Not the easiest to use as the controls and me using are not intuitive. But after I purchased the solid state relay this works fine. I had planned to use the alarm output — but it really wasn’t as configurable as the relay output. Many many buttons to change alarm level, but relay output was easily modified using front panel. Otherwise controls the fan of my smoker quite well!

Well I purchased this item for a smoker late Jan. 2018. Upon initial testing it worked well. I ran it for 2 hrs and everything seemed good.A week later I tried to power it up and the Inkbird PID would not light up. I checked continuity at the input poles and full 230v was available. So I dismantled my whole box and sent a message to inkbird customer service.Wow!A. I offered to return it.B. They wanted a diagram of the wiring so I gave the some pictures I had taken. Not good enough.C. They then asked me to send them a video of an item that doesn't work.I suggest this is the worst customer service I have ever seen. A 50 some dollar item where the customer needs to prove it doesn't work, when in actuality, it doesn't work.Update...issue was dealt with. Satisfied. Hope the replacement works.

Purchased this to control fermentation temperature for my beer.Controller failed on first run. The buttons on the front stopped responding correctly and would intermittently change settings.First batch had the settings change from cool to heat and stopped my fermentation cooling. Subsequently upon trying to change the setting back, the controller swapped the thermocouple setting and would constantly skip past settings anytime I tried to control the buttons.This is legitimately the worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon.Would not recommend, would not purchase again.

Using this for a 1500w element in a eBIAB setup. There's a few good videos on YouTube to help wire it. The k sensor doesn't include the nut so you'll need to source that on your own.Initial tests show it's working as intended. Easy to configure.
